the Role\nMinimum Requirements\n5+ years' experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with automation, integrations or business systems experience.\nMinimum 6 months' proven daily hands-on experience software engineering fundamentals including testing, debugging, code review and maintainable coding practices.\nFamiliarity with the Claude API, including tool use, Batch API and prompt caching.\nAbility to understand when AI is appropriate and when a conventional script, Power Automate flow or system configuration is the better solution.\nCompetencies\nStrong problem-solving and analytical ability.\nAble to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.\nComfortable running meetings and producing clear written scopes.\nStrong attention to detail, particularly when working with financial data and reconciliations.\nAble to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nGood deliverables.\nDevelop back-end APIs, front-end applications, databases and system integrations.\nBuild automations, scripts and internal tools using Claude Code as the primary development environment.\nDevelop and maintain CLAUDE.md files, custom skills, slash commands, hooks and subagents.\nBuild and configure MCP servers and connectors to business systems and applications.\nIntegrate with APIs, accounting systems, POS, CRM, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and other platforms.\nDevelop reporting, reconciliations and automated business processes.\nTest, deploy, monitor and support systems in a live environment.\nTroubleshoot system issues, integration failures and data discrepancies.\nMaintain technical documentation, runbooks and change logs.\nAssist users and teams in making effective use of Claude and AI development tools.\nManage API keys, permissions and data access responsibly.\nImportant\nHands-on Claude Code experience is essential.
