About the Role

Key requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics
  • Relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
  • 5-7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing / Distribution, ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment.
  • Exposure should include:
    • Warehouse & Distribution Shift Management
    • Transport Management
    • Inventory flow
    • Supply Chain Management
    • People Management
    • Disciplinary processes
    • Health & Safety Management
    • Facility & Asset Management
    • Contingency Planning
    • Continuous Improvement / Best Practice
    • Management of multi-temperature stock
    • Complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary operations
    • Experience within large organisations and teams of 400+ employees
  • Strong systems capability in
    • MS Office
    • Advanced Excel
    • Advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
    • Accounting / ERP systems experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is ideal

Key Responsibilities;

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Centre operates safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget.

This is a Senior Management opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager, with responsibility for the overall performance and well-being of the Distribution Centre's receiving, storage, transport and picking functions.
