Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new customers to grow sales revenue.
• Visit existing, former and prospective customers regularly.
• Develop business relationships with restaurants, takeaways, caterers, hotels, wholesalers and other relevant businesses.
• Promote products and communicate their benefits to prospective customers.
• Generate, manage and follow up on sales leads.
• Identify customer needs and opportunities for additional sales.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing and sales agreements.
• Convert prospects into active customers and develop repeat business.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers to encourage customer retention and growth.
• Work towards achieving monthly sales targets and KPIs.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities within the market.
• Maintain accurate customer records and submit sales activity reports.
• Plan customer visits and manage travel across the Western Cape.
• Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous sales experience, preferably in FMCG, food and beverage, food service, hospitality supplies or a related B2B sales environment.
• Experience in new business development and acquiring customers.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Experience working towards sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work independently.
• Good planning, organisational and time-management skills.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Western Cape.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to maintain customer records and sales reports.

Advantageous Experience

• Selling to restaurants, takeaways, caterers, hotels or commercial kitchens.
• Experience in FMCG, food and beverage distribution, catering supplies, food ingredients or hospitality consumables.
• An established customer network within the food-service or hospitality industry.
• Experience managing repeat orders and developing long-term business accounts.

Package:

Basic salary of R10,000 per month

Company vehicle provided for business travel

10% commission structure once monthly CTC has been covered.
