You'll build the boards and sensor interfaces behind Mecka's capture hardware, taking designs from schematics and first power-on through validation and production. As Mecka expands data collection around the world, your engineering decisions will shape signal quality, power consumption, and the performance of complete recording systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign circuits and schematics, and develop or review PCB layouts for capture and sensing hardware.\n\nBring up new boards and diagnose power, signal, timing, and communication problems on the bench.\n\nPartner with firmware and mechanical engineers to validate complete systems under realistic recording workloads.\n\nWork with suppliers to improve designs based on prototype results, production tests, component qualification, and field failures.\n\nDocument designs, measurements, and design changes clearly so others can build on your work.\n\nWhat You Bring\n3-4 years of experience designing and bringing up electronics hardware.\n\nDepth in at least one of these specializations:\nDigital hardware: SoC boards, memory, high-speed interfaces, signal and power integrity, and board bring-up.\n\nSensor electronics: low-noise acquisition, microcontrollers, compact circuits, and C or C++ firmware for hardware integration.\n\nExperience designing schematics and PCBs in tools such as Altium or KiCad, and bringing up the resulting hardware.\n\nA strong foundation in analog and digital electronics, power supplies, grounding, decoupling, and sensor interfaces.\n\nPractical debugging skills with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and electronic loads.\n\nAbility to reason about signal quality, timing, power consumption, and how electronics and firmware interact.\n\nHands-on prototyping and rework skills.\nNice-to-have:\nExperience with flexible circuits, EMC, wireless systems, battery-powered devices, or production testing.\n\nA Note on Applying\nStudies show women and candidates from underrepresented groups often only apply when they meet 100% of the listed qualifications, while others apply after meeting 60%.
