The successful candidate will be responsible for Mechanical Engineering duties, including reviewing defect cards, work orders, resource assessments, and maintenance activities. Additionally, budget monitoring, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives are key aspects of this role.\nDesalination or Water Treatment and Power Plant experience essential.\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nMechanical Engineering:\n\nReview and assess defect cards, work orders, and resource requirements.\n\nReceive work permits and organize resources for planned maintenance tasks.\n\nAssist in preparing maintenance activity scopes and risk assessments.\n\nIdentify spare parts requirements and suggest inventory levels.\n\nExecute planned inspections, overhauls, and breakdown maintenance.\n\nMobilize manpower, equipment, and tools on-site for permitted works.\n\nConduct daily toolbox talks and maintain safety standards.\n\nReport on work progress, issues, and resource needs.\n\nAssist in diagnosing faults in plant machinery.\n\nProvide technical training to staff and Qatari nationals.\n\nInspect spare parts and aid in developing machine parts.\n\nBudgeting and Financial Performance:\n\nMonitor financial performance versus budgets and report variances.\n\nPolicies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:\n\nImplement policies, systems, and procedures for operational compliance.\n\nContinuous Improvement:\n\nIdentify improvement opportunities in systems, processes, and practices.\n\nReporting:\n\nPrepare accurate and timely reports to
