As a team, we are continually striving to evolve, embracing change to achieve bigger and better things and we’re looking for someone to assist in that growth.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAssist with the development, maintenance and optimization of several SQL Server databases that support highly available enterprise software applications \nModify existing software to add enhancements, improve performance, and continuously improve our user experience\nWork on multiple databases to troubleshoot databases and related apps\nExperience executing SQL changes safely on live databases - following best practices to minimize disruption, with clear rollback and recovery procedures.\nDevelop testing and implementation strategy, conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify and resolve process bottlenecks\nCommit quality code, reliably and on time to help the team achieve roadmap goals and customer commitment.\nFollow Agile practices in your daily and weekly work and be a reliable team member.\nProvide timely feedback on designs and code changesets and share technical insights, learnings, and best practices with the team\nAccurately estimate work and proactively provide updates on your status. Proactively communicate adjustments to estimates as new information arises to ensure appropriate expectations\nEmbrace and consistently apply best practices, coding standards, and patterns for development and deployment of your code. \nInvestigate alerts or support requests related to possible errors or issues within our proprietary platform and address in a timely manner in accordance with technology platform SLAs.\nProvide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.\nIdentify and resolve problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback\nWork within a fast-paced environment \nEvaluate code to ensure validity, HIPAA compliance, secure coding practices, and compatibility \nReview of requirements with internal customers for software system design and maintenance\nUse, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties. Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashion\nPrepare technical design document & data dictionary as needed\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer or Information Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or similar\n6+ years of Database and software development experience \nExpertise in writing complex SQL Queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and indexes\nHighly analytical and detail-oriented with extensive familiarity with database management principles\nA solid background in writing secure, understandable, testable, and efficient code\nExtensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance\nFamiliarity with relevant tools and technologies, with a drive to stay up to date with ongoing changes and advancements\nClear communication around technical concepts and ideas and the ability to collaborate with engineering and other parts of the organization\nSolid understanding of T-SQL Programming\nProficient in MS SQL Server 2012 or later\nExperience with C# is plus\nKnowledgeable with Change Management Processes, Secure Coding Methodologies, and Test Plans (Unit, Regression, Load)\nAbility to multi-task with several complex and demanding projects\nHealthcare experience preferred\n\nWorking Conditions\nAbility to work Fully
