information is never exposed to unapproved AI tools.\nHelp shape the team's AI-assisted engineering practices, shared agent configurations, project context and rules files, guardrails, and review standards.\nRequirements:\n3-4 years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years at internet product companies (e. g., consumer internet, e-commerce, fintech, marketplaces, or classifieds).\nExperience taking at least one product or major feature through the full development lifecycle design, build, launch, and operation at scale.\nStrong programming skills in Java or Python, with experience in frameworks such as Spring Boot or FastAPI.\nProficiency in AI-assisted development: using coding agents (e. g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to plan, implement, test, and refactor, and knowing when not to trust their output.\nStrong problem-solving and data structures and algorithms fundamentals.\nSolid low-level design skills: object-oriented design, design patterns, class design, and clean API contracts.\nSystem design ability: explain and defend the architecture of systems you have built, and design new systems from scratch with clear reasoning on scalability, availability, and consistency trade-offs.\nHands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), caching (Redis), and messaging or streaming systems (Kafka or similar).\nStrong communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, including clinicians.\nHigh ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and a hustler's energy to build from the ground up without compromising on quality.\nA product mindset curiosity about how hospitals work and care for the outcome for the user, not just the ticket.\nDepth: Over frequent switches, we value engineers who have stayed long enough in their roles to see their work through.\nGood to have:\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.\nExperience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and comfort working across cloud and on-premises environments.\nExperience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production systems.\nExperience building agents or automations for engineering workflows, e. g., test generation, code review, migrations, or documentation using agent frameworks or tool integrations (such as MCP).\nExperience integrating with third-party systems, payment gateways, ERPs, messaging platforms, or device and equipment interfaces.\nExposure to healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains, or to interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR.\nExperience mentoring junior engineers.\nExposure to frontend development
