If so, Medcan is the place for you!\nThis job is for a current vacancy.\nThe Role:\nThe Product Coordinator is the primary operational and client-facing support for the Optometry Service. The role consists of a combination of administrative responsibilities and direct client care, including preliminary testing, client consultations, and specialized treatment services.\nThe candidate will collaborate closely with product and operational management and serve as a key point of contact for external vendors, internal departments, optometrists, and clients. This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. The individual will deliver exceptional patient care as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and possess a genuine passion for health, wellness, and customer service.\nThis is a highly client-facing role requiring daily interaction with clients across administrative, testing, consultation, and treatment services.\nWhat You'll Do:\nManage the Optometrist’s schedule using Salesforce, schedule appointments for clients, confirm appointments via phone or email, and manage appointment booking, cancellation, and rescheduling requests.\nDocument and maintain client information using Accuro and Salesforce.\nConduct preliminary screening and diagnostic testing with clients using ophthalmic instruments and other approved testing equipment, following established guidelines and protocols.\nUnder the supervision of a licensed optometrist, perform Zocular Eyelid System Treatment (ZEST) on clients.\nConduct MacuMira consultations with clients, reviewing eligibility against established guidelines and protocols to determine whether they are an appropriate candidate for treatment, and escalate to the optometrist when further clinical review is required.\nPerform MacuMira treatments in accordance with established protocols, including all required pre- and post-treatment testing, such as visual acuity and contrast sensitivity testing.\nEducate and guide clients through the MacuMira consultation and treatment process, clearly explaining next steps and addressing questions within the scope of the role.\nUse excellent communication and multitasking skills to respond to client inquiries in a timely manner, managing multiple client support channels including phone, email, and in-person interactions.\nQuote and discuss fees and payment policies and address inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and collections.\nVerify client insurance coverage and handle insurance pre-authorization.\nMonitor and perform inventory control of retail products, clinical supplies, and office supplies.\nResearch and procure new products for the practice, develop relationships with vendors, and negotiate pricing.\nSend referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary, following established protocols.\nLiaise and collaborate with Product Manager and Clinical Manager on business and operational initiatives, reporting, and product development.\nAssist with training and mentoring of new staff as required.\nDisplay excellent organizational skills and effective time management.\nDemonstrate Medcan values while interacting with all clients and staff.\nWhat You'll Need:\nUniversity degree or College Diploma preferred.\nMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service position; experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset.\nPrevious Optometry experience is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated ability to think quickly and creatively, with an eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new responsibilities.\nAbility to learn and consistently follow established clinical guidelines, protocols, and eligibility criteria when conducting client consultations, testing, and treatments.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Salesforce is considered an asset.\nAbility to navigate difficult conversations and client interactions with professionalism and empathy.\nProven track record of satisfactory attendance, punctuality, and rel\nPosition Pay Range\n$47,831.00 - $65,767.25 CAD annuallyPay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade.
