We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude. The role is accountable for the effective delivery of ultrasound procedures for clients during their Annual Health Assessment and other services at Medcan. This role will also assist with facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic and coordinating with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service.\nMedcan’s sonographer functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the reporting physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the requesting physician with the screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients.\nThe sonographer’s role and responsibilities include providing diagnostic medical sonography services and its various clinical specialties. The sonographer’s work is consistent with his/her education and training and is aligned with Medcan’s policies and procedures and applicable professional standards. The sonographer is a client focused professional with superior organization and time management skills.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPrepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization and patient safety protocols, policies and procedures.\nReview patient medical history, evaluate contraindications, obtain patient consent, perform required ultrasound examinations and document findings.\nOperate and maintain ultrasound equipment and basic quality control checks.\nEnsure sonography exam results meet facility standards for quality assurance.\nCoordinate with cross functional clinic teams to ensure exceptional service and client experience.\nWhat You’ll Need:\n1+ years of experience as a sonographer performing examinations such as abdominal exams\nBreast, transvaginal and transrectal experience an asset\nMember of the CMRITO\nUltrasound ARDMS certification\nExcellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work independently and collaboratively\nThis is a full-time role that will be scheduled based on clinic needs Monday - Saturday.\nOur downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!\nPosition Pay Range\n$35.43 - $48.72 CAD annuallyPay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade.
