You will serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert while helping guide software architecture, development, integration, verification, and best practices across the engineering team.\nThis is NOT a general software, web, or application development position.\nWe are specifically seeking candidates with 6+ years of experience designing and implementing complex embedded software for medical devices.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop embedded software for medical devices using C, C++, and Python\nServe as a technical expert for key embedded software features\nTranslate product requirements into software requirements, architecture, and implementation\nIntegrate software with microprocessor-based hardware and electromechanical systems\nCollaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on hardware/software integration\nConduct code reviews and promote software development best practices\nDevelop and support unit, integration, system, and automated testing\nSupport CI/CD, verification, validation, requirements, and traceability\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues using hardware and laboratory debugging tools\nProvide technical guidance and feedback to other software engineers\nWork collaboratively with global, cross-functional engineering teams\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field\n6+ years of professional embedded software development experience\nMedical device software development experience\nStrong C/C++ programming skills; Python experience\nExperience with microprocessors, RTOS, and embedded systems\nExperience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS232, or RS485\nExperience with tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, IAR, or similar\nExperience with automated testing and CI/CD\nExperience debugging hardware/software integration using laboratory tools\nUnderstanding of the medical device software lifecycle, design controls, verification, and traceability\nKnowledge of medical device standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 14971\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with STM development environments or TouchGFX\nExperience with Altium or schematic review\nExperience with Bash, PowerShell, or YAML\nExperience working with global product development teams\nWhat Makes Someone Successful\nYou're a hands-on senior embedded engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working closely with hardware.
