In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to deliver patient-centered audiologic care while improving communication, safety, and overall quality of life for a geriatric population.\nResponsibilities\nConduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry\nDiagnose hearing loss and balance-related conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans\nFit, program, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive listening devices\nProvide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding hearing health and device use\nDocument evaluations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner\nCollaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care teams\nEnsure compliance with clinical, safety, and infection control standards\nTravel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned\nRequirements\nDoctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required\nCurrent state Audiology license required\nCertificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred\nPrior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings strongly preferred\nExperience working with hearing aids and assistive listening devices\nStrong clinical, organizational, and documentation skills\nExcellent communication and patient-care abilities\nComfortable working with the geriatric population\nProlonged sitting/standing. Fine motor skills for equipment operation. Occasional lifting.
