Compensation: $150,000-$185,000, plus bonus

Position Summary:

MedElite is seeking a practical, business-oriented Healthcare Counsel to support its rapidly growing, multistate healthcare services organization. MedElite provides clinical services to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across 34 states.

This attorney will work directly with executive leadership on healthcare regulatory matters, commercial agreements, employment issues and general corporate matters. The role offers meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to help develop MedElite’s internal legal function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise leadership on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, compliance and operational matters.

• Provide practical guidance on laws and regulations applicable to healthcare providers.

• Lead and communications from Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers.

• Oversee, manage and direct third-party lawfirms

• Provide employment-law and other general legal guidance regarding policies, accommodations, employee relations and terminations.

• Support corporate transactions, organizational matters and business initiatives.

• Research legal developments and advise leadership on their business impact.

• Develop and maintain practical legal policies, processes and contract standards.

• Support other legal matters arising across the organization.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in good standing with the New York Bar.

• Approximately 4-7 years of relevant legal experience.

• Healthcare law experience, preferably representing healthcare providers or healthcare services organizations.

• Familiarity with healthcare regulation, reimbursement, privacy and compliance matters.

• Experience with commercial contracts, employment matters or general corporate work is preferred.

• Strong drafting, analytical, communication and organizational skills.

• Practical judgment and the ability to translate legal requirements into clear business guidance.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
