The ideal candidate is passionate about serving diverse populations, values collaborative care, and is eager to make a meaningful impact in an urban community setting. This position offers flexibility, professional growth opportunities, and a supportive environment where clinicians can thrive.\nResponsibilities\nConduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and standardized testing (e.g., personality, IQ, behavioral)\nDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)\nProvide psychotherapy to residents primarily in skilled nursing and long-term care settings, with opportunities for outpatient or community-based work if desired\nCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, educators) to ensure holistic care\nProvide psychoeducation to clients and families, promoting mental health awareness and resilience\nMaintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations\nParticipate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development\nRequirements\nDoctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program\nCurrent New York State Psychologist License\nMinimum of 1-2 years of supervised clinical experience; postdoctoral experience preferred\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse populations\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills\nProlonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods.
