You'll lead a team of ~11 engineers spanning SRE, DevOps, SecOps, Data, and Release, and you'll own the platform's reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery velocity end-to-end.\n\nYou'll report directly to the CTO and sit at the intersection of infrastructure strategy, security posture (including our active SOC 2 push), and the day-to-day engineering culture that determines whether Mediamint Client's 37 day sprint cadence is sustainable or just aspirational.\n\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you'll set technical direction, unblock your team, and represent platform engineering in company-wide roadmap conversations.\n\nWhat You'll Own :\n\nTeam Leadership & Culture :\n\n- Lead and grow a ~11-person team across DevOps, SRE, SecOps, Data, and Release functions.\n\n- Set clear goals, career paths, and performance expectations for engineers across disciplines.\n\n- Build a healthy, sustainable on-call culture with clear escalation paths and blameless postmortems.\n\n- Mentor senior ICs and develop the next layer of technical leads within the team.\n\nPlatform Reliability & Infrastructure Roadmap :\n\n- Own uptime, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure underpinning Mediamint Client's 35+ (scaling to 150+) live AI agents.\n\n- Define and drive the multi-quarter infrastructure roadmap in partnership with the CTO.\n\n- Establish SLOs/SLAs and the monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices to meet them.\n\n- Ensure the platform's modular \"Lego\" architecture scales cleanly as agent volume grows.\n\nAWS Cost Optimization & Cloud Strategy :\n\n- Own AWS cost optimization as an active, ongoing initiative, not a one-time cleanup.\n\n- Drive rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, and architecture decisions that balance performance with spend.\n\n- Partner with finance and leadership on infrastructure budgeting and forecasting.\n\nCI/CD & Release Engineering :\n\n- Own the CI/CD pipelines that let engineering ship new Mediamint Client modules in 37 day sprints.\n\n- Continuously improve deployment safety, speed, and rollback capability across environments.\n\n- Drive release engineering practices that support rapid, frequent, low-risk shipping at scale.\n\nSecurity & Compliance Enablement :\n\n- Partner closely with SecOps and Security/Compliance functions to support MediaMint's SOC 2 compliance program.\n\n- Ensure infrastructure and access controls align with WorkOS SSO rollout and broader identity governance goals.\n\n- Champion security-by-default practices across the platform engineering org.\n\nData Platform & Analytics Enablement :\n\n- Guide the Data function within your team to support agentic analytics initiatives across Mediamint Client.\n\n- Ensure data infrastructure is reliable, well-governed, and ready to power increasingly sophisticated agent behaviors.\n\nRequired Qualifications :\n\n- 8+ years of engineering experience, including meaningful time leading platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps teams.\n\n- Direct people management experience, ideally leading teams of 8+ across multiple technical disciplines.\n\n- Deep AWS expertise, including cost optimization at scale across a multi-service, multi-account environment.\n\n- Proven ownership of CI/CD and release engineering in a fast-shipping, high-velocity engineering environment.\n\n- Experience building or maturing on-call and incident response practices.\n\n- Track record of partnering with security/compliance teams, ideally including SOC 2 or similar frameworks.\n\n- Strong executive communication skills, comfortable reporting to and influencing a CTO on roadmap and tradeoffs.\n\nPreferred Experience :\n\n- Experience scaling platform infrastructure for an AI or automation-heavy product.\n\n- Familiarity with SSO/identity platforms such as WorkOS or Okta.\n\n- Background supporting data platforms or analytics infrastructure.\n\n- Experience in a
