As we transform how work is done, we are committed to doing so with a strong human-centred lens - ensuring AI improves outcomes for customers, employees and the business while maintaining trust, safety and quality.\nAbout the role\nThis is a newly established leadership opportunity responsible for creating and evolving Medibank's enterprise capability for AI observability, lifecycle governance and operational assurance.\nYou'll define how we monitor AI agents, copilots, models and AI-enabled services; establish the controls and standards that underpin responsible AI operations; and ensure AI products can be confidently scaled across the organisation.\nWorking across a rapidly evolving technology landscape, you'll help create a consistent operating model that enables innovation while managing operational, security, compliance and customer risk.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDefine and deliver Medibank's AI observability strategy and roadmap.\n\nEstablish standards for monitoring AI health, performance, quality, safety, adoption and cost.\n\nDrive operational insight and continuous improvement through meaningful metrics, dashboards and alerting.\n\nDevelop and maintain frameworks that govern AI services from onboarding through to retirement.\n\nEnsure AI services have clear ownership, risk classification, support models and review processes.\n\nDefine enterprise AI application lifecycle management (ALM) standards.\n\nWork closely with technical agent developers, architects, data specialists and delivery partners to convert workflow designs into buildable requirements\n\nEstablish monitoring and governance practices that support safety, transparency, privacy and compliance.\n\nAct as the subject matter expert for AI observability, lifecycle assurance and operational governance.\n\nProvide evidence-based recommendations that influence investment, risk and operational decisions.\n\nAbout you\nYou're someone who enjoys bringing structure and governance to emerging technologies without slowing down innovation.\nYou'll bring a blend of technical depth, operational leadership and stakeholder influence, along with a genuine curiosity about how AI can create better outcomes for people and organisations.\nYou'll likely have experience in:\nObservability, reliability engineering, service management or operational governance within complex enterprise environments.\n\nDemonstrated experience in relevant roles in AI, cloud, platform or data services.\n\nDesigning monitoring, telemetry, incident management and service assurance capabilities.\n\nAI governance, responsible AI or operational risk frameworks.\n\nPower Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure or comparable enterprise technology ecosystems.\n\nLeading cross-functional initiatives involving technology, risk, security and business stakeholders.\n\nDeveloping roadmaps, operating models and enterprise-wide capability uplift programs.\n\nWhat it's like to work here\nAI is becoming part of how work gets done across Medibank.
