This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to work on impactful AI and analytics initiatives using modern cloud technologies.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nDevelop predictive models to support customer retention, acquisition, cross-sell and engagement initiatives.\n\nAnalyse customer behaviour, digital interactions and product performance to identify actionable insights.\n\nDesign and execute experiments to test and optimise customer and business outcomes.\n\nBuild, optimise and deploy machine learning and statistical models using Python.\n\nLeverage AWS services including SageMaker, EC2, S3 and Bedrock to run scalable analytics and experimentation workloads.\n\nOptimise model performance through efficient coding, automation and cloud-based processing techniques.\n\nTranslate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.\n\nPartner with teams across Marketing, Product, Portfolio, Customer Experience and Strategy to drive data-informed decision making.\n\nSupport the exploration of new data sources, AI capabilities and advanced analytics techniques.\n\nAbout You\nYou'll be naturally curious, commercially minded and passionate about using data to solve real-world problems. You'll enjoy collaborating with stakeholders and turning complex analysis into meaningful outcomes.\nYou'll bring:\nA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.\n\n2-3+ years' experience in a Data Science, Advanced Analytics or similar role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience building predictive and statistical models using Python.\n\nExperience applying data-driven insights to support commercial and business outcomes.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large and complex datasets.\n\nThe ability to communicate technical concepts and insights to a broad range of stakeholders.\n\nExperience working within cloud-based analytics environments, ideally AWS.\n\nExposure to machine learning, experimentation and AI-driven analytics.\n\nWe're seeking a data scientist with strong modelling expertise, commercial exposure, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.\nWhy Medibank?\nAt Medibank, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
