We’re looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to join our Technology and Operations team and support the critical SAP platforms underpinning our policy administration capability.\nThis is a hands-on functional role spanning production support, business analysis and project enhancements. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technology partners to solve complex problems, translate business needs into effective SAP solutions and continuously improve the way our systems operate.\nYou don’t need to come from private health insurance or already be an SAP FS-PM specialist. If you bring strong SAP functional capability, curiosity and the drive to learn a specialised domain, we’ll support you to build deep expertise in SAP Policy Management and the business processes it supports.\nHow you’ll make an impact\nIn this role, you will:\nProvide functional support for Medibank’s SAP systems, investigating and resolving business and system issues.\nConfigure SAP solutions to support business requirements and production fixes.\nPartner with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into practical technology solutions.\nFacilitate and participate in requirements and solution-design workshops.\nProduce functional specifications, solution-design documentation and test cases.\nContribute to SAP enhancement initiatives from requirements analysis and configuration through to testing and implementation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve existing systems, processes and functional capability.\nPresent solution concepts to stakeholders and help guide decisions as a trusted SAP adviser.\nMaintain system documentation and provide training or knowledge transfer when required.\nBuild your expertise in Medibank’s policy administration environment, with the opportunity to progress toward a Senior Functional Consultant pathway. \nYou’ll ideally have:\nAt least three years’ experience as an SAP Functional Consultant or in a similar functional role.\nExperience supporting and configuring SAP solutions in a production environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability, including investigating complex business and system issues.\nExperience gathering requirements, undertaking functional analysis and developing solution-design documentation.\nExposure to SAP enhancement projects and delivering functional changes through testing and implementation.\nExperience contributing to at least one end-to-end SAP implementation or significant enhancement initiative.\nThe ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and translate business requirements into clear technology solutions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nA genuine interest in learning a new business domain and becoming a subject-matter expert in a specialised SAP capability.\nExperience in SAP insurance, finance, customer management, policy management or related business processes would be valuable.
