Bring deep SAP Industry Solutions expertise.\nWe’re looking for an experienced SAP Functional Lead to join Medibank and play a key role in strengthening our SAP functional capability.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced SAP practitioner with strong SAP Industry Solutions experience who can combine deep functional expertise with people leadership, coaching and quality assurance.\nYou’ll lead a small team of SAP Functional Consultants while remaining approximately 60% hands-on, working across solution design, configuration, analysis, testing and production support.\nThe opportunity:\nWorking closely with our SAP Solution Design Leads, you’ll translate solution direction into high-quality functional outcomes and help lift capability, consistency and delivery standards across the SAP practice.\nYou’ll:\nLead, coach and develop a small team of 3-4 SAP Functional Consultants\nRemain approximately 60% hands-on across functional design, configuration, testing, implementation and production support\nApply your SAP Industry Solutions expertise to solve complex business and functional challenges\nSet and uplift functional delivery standards, ways of working and quality expectations\nReview functional designs, specifications, configuration approaches and test outcomes\nAct as an escalation point for complex SAP functional issues\nWork across SAP modules to understand dependencies, integration impacts and end-to-end processes\nPartner closely with SAP Solution Design Leads, Architects, Business Analysts and business stakeholders\nSupport complex production issues and drive continuous improvement\nProvide functional oversight and quality assurance across vendor and delivery partner outcomes\nAbout you:\nYou’re an experienced SAP functional practitioner who has worked in complex enterprise environments and understands how SAP Industry Solutions support industry-specific business processes and requirements.\nImportantly, we’re looking for someone with significant hands-on SAP Industry Solutions experience, rather than solely broad SAP functional or people leadership experience.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nStrong, demonstrable experience working with SAP Industry Solutions in complex enterprise environments\nSignificant SAP functional consulting experience, typically 10+ years\nDeep expertise in at least one SAP functional domain, with the ability to lead and assure delivery across other modules\nStrong hands-on experience across requirements, functional design, configuration, testing, implementation and production support\nExperience understanding and designing industry-specific SAP processes and solutions\nPrevious experience leading, mentoring or coaching SAP Functional Consultants\nStrong understanding of end-to-end business processes, SAP integration and cross-module impacts\nThe ability to review and constructively challenge functional solutions\nStrong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills\nExperience working with external SAP vendors or delivery partners\nThe ability to balance people leadership with significant hands-on delivery responsibilities\nExperience within financial services, private health insurance or another highly regulated environment would be highly regarded.\nWhat will set you apart:\nYou don’t need to be the deepest expert across every SAP module.
