As a Senior Software Engineer within Amplar Health Platform Engineering, you’ll help design and deliver secure, reliable and scalable applications that connect experiences across virtual healthcare, telehealth, in-clinic and in-home services.\nThis is a senior, hands-on engineering role where you’ll take ownership of complex technical outcomes from discovery through to production. You’ll work closely with product, architecture, security, delivery and clinical stakeholders to balance customer, clinical, commercial and technology needs.\nIn this opportunity you will:\nDesign, build, test and implement complex software features, APIs and services.\nProvide pragmatic technical leadership while remaining hands-on with development.\nMake and communicate design decisions across scalability, security, maintainability, performance and delivery speed.\nShape engineering standards across testing, CI/CD, observability, resilience and secure development.\nBreak complex initiatives into clear, testable deliverables and identify technical risks and dependencies.\nMentor engineers through pairing, coaching, constructive code reviews and knowledge sharing.\nWork across engineering, product, architecture, cyber security, privacy, clinical and operational teams.\nSupport production systems, lead root-cause analysis and turn incident learnings into lasting improvements. \nWhat we'd like to see in you:\nFive or more years of professional software development experience.\nAdvanced capability in at least one modern programming language. The current environment uses.NET/C#, while experience with Java, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript is also valuable.\nExperience building modern web applications, APIs and distributed services.\nStrong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, secure coding and non-functional requirements.\nExperience with GitHub or a comparable version-control platform, automated testing and CI/CD.\nExperience working with relational and/or document databases.\nA track record of owning complex production systems or significant technical initiatives.\nThe ability to mentor engineers, influence technical decisions and explain complex concepts to different audiences.\nExperience working in agile, cross-functional product teams from discovery through to production support. \nA qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is welcomed, although equivalent professional experience is equally relevant.\nNice to have:\nExperience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:\nRESTful APIs, event-driven integration or resilient distributed systems\nAWS and cloud-native architecture\nInfrastructure as code\nDocker or Kubernetes\nObservability, reliability engineering and incident response\nHealthcare, regulated or privacy-sensitive environments\nEngineering communities of practice or shared platform capabilities\nLearn more about Amplar Health at https://amplarhealth.com.au\nWhy work for Amplar Health\nAt Amplar Health, you'll be part of a team that's transforming healthcare while building a career with purpose.
