We are the premier Pharmacy Benefits Management solution!\nJob Description\nSummary\nThe Director, Data Center Operation is responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise infrastructure platform. This role oversees on-premises data centers, colocation facilities, network engineering, telecommunications, cloud-connected infrastructure, and enterprise release management processes.\nThe Director leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for data center operations, network architecture and engineering, infrastructure automation, release governance, and service delivery. This position ensures highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient technology services that support business-critical operations while aligning infrastructure strategy with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives.\nThe role serves as a key technology leader responsible for infrastructure modernization, operational stability, disaster recovery readiness, network resiliency, change management, release execution, vendor management, and budget oversight. The Director partners closely with application development, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, product teams, PMO, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nInfrastructure Strategy & Leadership\nDevelop and execute infrastructure, network, and release management strategies aligned with business priorities.\nLead modernization initiatives across on-premises data centers, colocation facilities, networking, virtualization, automation, and cloud integration.\nEstablish infrastructure standards, governance models, operating procedures, and technology roadmaps.\nDrive continuous improvement in service availability, operational efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.\nBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing infrastructure and operations teams.\nData Center Operations\nProvide strategic oversight of all enterprise data center operations, including owned, colocation, and disaster recovery facilities.\nEnsure availability, performance, security, capacity, environmental controls, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure.\nLead capacity planning, hardware refresh programs, infrastructure optimization, and data center consolidation initiatives.\nOversee server, storage, backup, virtualization, and infrastructure support teams.\nMaintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities through regular testing and preparedness exercises.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.\nNetwork Engineering & Architecture\nLead architecture, engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, data center networking, internet connectivity, and cloud networking.\nProvide leadership for network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, NAC, and segmentation strategies.\nEstablish network reliability, redundancy, resiliency, and performance standards.\nDrive adoption of automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and self-healing technologies.\nPartner with Information Security to ensure infrastructure and network security compliance.\nManage telecommunications, carrier relationships, network contracts, and service providers.\nRelease Management & Change Governance\nEstablish enterprise release management strategy, governance, standards, and operating procedures.\nLead processes governing deployment of infrastructure, application, cloud, and network changes into production environments.\nChair or oversee Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities and release approval processes.\nEnsure release scheduling, dependency management, rollback planning, risk mitigation, and production readiness assessments.\nCoordinate successful execution of enterprise releases across multiple technology teams.\nImplement release automation and DevOps practices to improve deployment speed, quality, and reliability.\nDevelop KPIs related to release success rates, failed changes, release velocity, and deployment quality.\nOperational Excellence\nEstablish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, SLOs, and operational performance metrics.\nLead incident, problem, and major outage management processes.\nDrive root cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical infrastructure incidents.\nEnsure 24x7 operational support models and escalation procedures are effective.\nPromote automation and operational efficiency initiatives to reduce manual effort and operational risk.\nVendor & Financial Management\nDevelop and manage infrastructure, networking, telecommunications, and operations budgets.\nNegotiate contracts, renewals, licensing agreements, and managed services engagements.\nEvaluate technology investments and business cases.\nManage vendor performance against contractual obligations and service-level commitments.\nIdentify cost optimization opportunities across infrastructure and operations environments.\nSecurity, Risk & Compliance\nPartner with cybersecurity teams to implement secure infrastructure and network architecture.\nEnsure compliance with healthcare, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.\nManage risk assessments, vulnerability remediation programs, and audit support activities.\nLead disaster recovery, resilience, and business continuity planning efforts.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nManages assigned staff in the segment area. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary.\nClient Responsibilities\nThis is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written).
