You will work closely with that team to understand the product, review technical decisions and code quality, and progressively bring engineering knowledge and ownership in-house.\nThis is a hands-on role with significant influence over how we build and operate our product. You will develop features across backend and frontend, establish engineering standards, and help keep production reliable. As an early member of the internal team, your decisions will shape the product’s architecture, engineering practices, and ability to grow.\nResponsibilities\nWhat You Will Lead\nBuild across the stack. Design, develop, test, and deliver features spanning backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend interfaces.\nBring knowledge and ownership in-house. Work closely with our external development partner to understand the existing architecture, codebase, infrastructure, integrations, and deployment processes.\nSet and uphold engineering standards. Review code and technical designs, give actionable feedback, and ensure internal and external contributions meet agreed standards for maintainability, security, performance, and testing.\nGuide technical decisions. Assess tradeoffs, identify risks and technical debt, and make pragmatic improvements that balance delivery needs with long-term product health.\nPartner with Product and Design. Help shape solutions, clarify requirements, estimate work, and deliver intuitive, reliable product experiences.\nStrengthen delivery and operations. Improve automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and deployment and rollback processes.\nOwn production reliability. Diagnose and resolve incidents, including responding to critical outages outside regular working hours as part of the role’s on-call responsibilities.\nReduce recurring incidents. Investigate root causes and improve the product, tooling, and operational practices following production issues.\nMake knowledge accessible. Maintain useful technical documentation and operational runbooks, reducing reliance on individual people or external teams.\nHelp build the internal engineering team. Establish effective working practices and support onboarding as the team grows.\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring\n7-10 years of hands-on software engineering experience at a senior level, including delivering and maintaining production web applications.\nStrong backend development skills, including API design, database design, integrations, and application security.\nPractical frontend experience building and maintaining modern web interfaces, with the ability to independently deliver features across the stack.\nExperience reviewing code and technical designs, identifying quality issues, and helping other engineers improve their work.\nSound architectural judgment and the ability to work effectively with an existing codebase while improving it incrementally.\nPractical experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, application monitoring, and production troubleshooting.\nExperience supporting production systems and taking responsibility for incident resolution.\nA disciplined approach to testing, documentation, security, and maintainability.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and business colleagues.\nA collaborative approach to working with external development partners and internal stakeholders.\nWillingness to provide out-of-hours support for critical production incidents under an agreed on-call arrangement.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience transferring knowledge and technical ownership from an external development partner to an internal team.\nExperience as an early engineer on a growing product team.\nExperience with complex B2B platforms, enterprise applications, or workflow-based products.\nFamiliarity with role-based permissions, business-system integrations, and products serving multiple countries.\nProfessional working proficiency in English, including technical discussions and documentation.\nExperience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries -
