Working closely with global stakeholders, this leader will help shape the future of AI and automation across the enterprise while building a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.\nJob Description\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nLead, coach and develop the Pune-based AI & Automation organization, including managers, technical leads, engineers, data scientists, developers, analysts and delivery professionals.\nCreate a clear India operating model with defined accountabilities, decision rights, career paths, succession plans and capability-building priorities.\nPartner with business and technology leaders to identify high-value opportunities across commercial, operations, product, support and corporate functions.\nOwn predictable delivery from proof of concept through production scale, adoption and run support.\n· Guide solution choices across predictive machine learning, generative AI, agentic systems, computer vision, optimization, RPA, intelligent document processing, low-code platforms and ticketing automation.\n· Strengthening AI engineering practices for enterprise search, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, model deployment, monitoring, LLMOps/MLOps, APIs and cloud-native integration.\n· Advance automation practices that combine process redesign with the right mix of workflow, RPA, low-code and AI technologies.\n· Institute consistent product, program and engineering practices across requirements, architecture, development, testing, release, documentation, support and continuous improvement.\nDefine and execute the AI & Automation strategy aligned with organizational priorities and business growth objectives.\nDrive innovation through the adoption of Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics.\nBuild, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of AI, Automation, Engineering, and Data professionals.\nLead a diverse portfolio of AI and automation initiatives from strategy through execution and value realization.\nEstablish delivery excellence standards across product development, engineering, platform operations, and support functions.\nEnsure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.\nProvide Technical leadership across AI technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Document Processing, RPA, Low-Code Platforms, and AI-powered business solutions.\nChampion modern engineering practices, platform reusability, cloud adoption, and AI governance.\nEstablish robust AI governance frameworks and Responsible AI practices.\nEnsure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards. Partner with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement, audit and business owners to meet review and evidence requirements.\n\n#Work Experience & Required Skills:\nProven experience leading large-scale technology, AI, automation, or digital transformation organizations.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n18+ years of progressive technology experience, including substantial leadership responsibility in enterprise AI, data science, intelligent automation, software engineering or digital transformation.\n8+ years leading managers and multidisciplinary teams in a global delivery environment, preferably with India and U.S. stakeholders.\nDemonstrated success delivering a portfolio of enterprise solutions from discovery through production operations and adoption.\nWorking depth across several of the following: machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, enterprise search, MLOps/LLMOps, RPA, intelligent document processing, low-code, workflow and API-based integration.\nExperience with cloud-based AI and application platforms. Microsoft Azure ecosystem experience is strongly preferred.\nStrong command of architecture, secure software lifecycle, DevSecOps, testing, observability, production support, data protection and cost management practices.\nExperience establishing governance, quality controls and risk management for AI and automation solutions.\nExceptional people leadership, executive communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, financial acumen and change leadership.\nAbility to work across time zones and travel periodically within India and internationally as business needs require.\nClick here to learn more about a career in IT at Medline!\nOur benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
