The Senior Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for data architecture, engineering, integration, governance, semantic modelling, and Power BI solutions.\nWorking closely with Canadian business leaders, IT teams, Medline’s US Data and Business Intelligence organization, and implementation partners, the role will enable trusted, reusable, and Canadian-resident data products that support operational reporting, executive decision-making, advanced analytics, and future AI capabilities.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nDefine and execute the strategy and roadmap for Medline Canada’s data platform, data governance, business intelligence, and analytics capabilities.\nLead the architecture, implementation, and ongoing operation of Medline Canada’s Microsoft Fabric-based data foundation, including development, test, and production environments.\nEstablish scalable and reusable patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic modelling, security, monitoring, and support.\nOversee the integration of data from SAP, CRM, eCommerce, master data, and other enterprise systems, working closely with application and functional subject-matter experts.\nLead the delivery of governed data products, certified Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and analytical datasets that provide consistent and trusted business information.\nEstablish data governance practices covering ownership, stewardship, business definitions, quality, metadata, lineage, access, retention, and lifecycle management.\nEnsure that Canadian data residency, privacy, security, access-control, and audit requirements are incorporated into platform architecture and operations.\nPartner with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-value data and analytics opportunities across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare, Dental, and eCommerce.\nLead the rationalization of duplicated datasets, departmental extracts, legacy reports, and inconsistent KPI definitions.\nBuild, lead, and develop a multidisciplinary data and analytics team, establishing clear responsibilities and effective delivery and support practices.\nWork with project management resources to define scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, resource requirements, and measurable business outcomes.\nDirect external implementation partners by defining clear architecture, requirements, deliverables, quality standards, documentation, and knowledge-transfer expectations.\nCollaborate with Medline’s US and global data teams to reuse proven architecture, governance, and delivery practices while addressing Canadian requirements.\nEstablish performance measures for platform reliability, data quality, delivery speed, adoption, reuse, business value, and stakeholder satisfaction.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\nSignificant progressive experience in enterprise data platforms, data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or related technology functions.\nDemonstrated experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-scale data initiatives within a complex organization.\nStrong understanding of modern cloud data platforms, data architecture, lakehouse concepts, data engineering, semantic modelling, and data governance.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, or comparable cloud data and analytics technologies.\nExperience integrating data from ERP and other enterprise applications. SAP ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, or eCommerce experience is preferred.\nStrong understanding of data security, privacy, access controls, auditability, and data-residency requirements.\nExperience managing implementation partners, contractors, offshore resources, budgets, delivery risks, and technology vendors.\nStrong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and organizational change skills.\nAbility to translate technical concepts and data opportunities into clear business outcomes, priorities, and executive decisions.\nKey Measures of Success\nAn approved and actively managed Canadian data and analytics roadmap.\nSuccessful establishment and operation of the Canadian Microsoft Fabric environment.\nDelivery and adoption of governed data products and certified Power BI models.\nDocumented ownership, definitions, access controls, and quality standards for priority data domains.\nReduced duplication of data pipelines, extracts, datasets, and reports.\nImproved reliability and delivery time for analytics solutions.\nEffective development of the Canadian data and analytics team.\nDemonstrable business value from delivered data products and analytics capabilities.\nThe anticipated salary range for this position:\n$128,200.00 - $192,200.00 AnnualThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
