This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence, data warehousing and data engineering solutions. This individual will also create and maintain detailed business requirements, outlining data problems, opportunities and solutions supporting supply chain business partners.Job Description\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:\nRequirements and Business Engagement\nAct as the go-to BI contact for operational areas, building trusted relationships with stakeholders from frontline supervisors to senior leaders.\nLead requirements sessions and translate operational questions into clear metric definitions, functional designs and specifications.\nMap current workflows and data flows, document processes with diagrams, and recommend improvements through new or existing technology.\nIdentify dependencies across projects and domains and act as the liaison between business partners and IT development teams.\nBuild applications, data pipelines, reporting and analytics\nDesign, build and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards and reports that track operational KPIs such as on-time delivery, fill rate, order cycle time, inventory accuracy, labor productivity, quality defects and safety incidents.\nWrite performant SQL and build reusable data models and semantic models on large operational datasets from warehouse, transportation, and ERP systems.\nDevelop and maintain data transformations and pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure, partnering with data engineers on larger platform work.\nDevelop and maintain webapps using .Net technology\nEnhance, support and migrate legacy reporting (WebFOCUS, and SSIS) to the modern cloud platform.\nDeliver with quality and drive adoption\nOwn test planning and validation so solutions are accurate before they reach production.\nDocument metric definitions, data lineage and report logic, and contribute to team standards for development and delivery.\nCommunicate changes clearly and train users so new reports are adopted and trusted.\nPrioritize your own portfolio of planned and ad-hoc work, and mentor junior team members.\nMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n4+ years of experience in BI development or data analytics, supporting supply chain, distribution, or logistics operations.\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and large datasets.\nExperience with Tableau, WebFOCUS, SSIS or Alteryx, particularly migrating legacy reports to a cloud platform.\nHands-on Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query and report design.\nPython or PySpark experience for data preparation and analysis.\nExperience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and turning them into reports, data models and written specifications.\nWorking knowledge of core operations and supply chain metrics and how they are calculated.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain data and insights to audiences ranging from frontline leaders to executives.\nAbility to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and to work independently with minimal direction.\nPreferred\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Real-Time Intelligence) or Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Databricks).\nExperience with data governance and catalog tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra or Alation.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools (for example GitHub Copilot, Factory or similar) and interest in applying AI and machine learning to operational problems such as forecasting and anomaly detection.\nClick here to learn more about a career in IT at Medline!\nMedline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.\nThe anticipated salary range for this position:\n$101,000.00 - $152,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
