We are seeking an organized, motivated, and passionate Senior QA Engineer/ Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team of talented and inspiring developers in a fast-paced environment. \nAs a Senior QA Engineer/ Senior Software Test Engineer, you'll be a part of the SW Engineering Team and collaborate closely with the Product Managers. We're looking for a candidate who will design and scale robust automation frameworks, help drive the adoption of AI-assisted and agentic approaches in our testing processes, and perform hands-on testing. You will have the opportunity to shape test automation practices and drive AI adoption in testing. \nThis fully remote position is based in Istanbul under a contractor agreement with Medsien Inc.\nAs a Senior QA Engineer/ Senior Software Test Engineer, you will:\nContribute to the end-to-end test strategy for our web applications, from planning through release,\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright (Java),\nIntegrate and maintain automated test suites in Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with GitHub-based workflows,\nLeverage AI tools effectively across the testing lifecycle: test design, test data generation, code review, and defect analysis, \nExplore and apply agentic architectures (AI agents, multi-agent workflows) to automate and accelerate QA activities,\nPerform functional, regression, API, and exploratory testing,\nTrack quality metrics and contribute to release readiness assessments,\nParticipate in test code reviews,\nCollaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle,\nContinuously improve testing processes and advocate for quality best practices. \nActively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives,\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues with a proactive and analytical mindset,\nResearch new technologies and prototype new ideas,\nEnsure high testability and quality of delivered software,\nCollaborate with Engineering and external third-party integrators on production and development to ensure good functional test coverage and reproducible results,\nKnow the product vision and work closely with designers and the product owner to translate their vision into tests,\nPartner with development teams to identify key risk areas in new solutions.\nPlease apply if you have:\n8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in test automation,\nStrong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright,\nSolid programming skills in Java; clean, maintainable test code,\nProven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins,\nProficiency with Git and GitHub (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, GitHub actions),\nHands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants, AI coding agents) to improve testing efficiency and quality,\nFamiliarity with agentic systems and AI-driven automation concepts,\nExperience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured),\nExperience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail),\nISTQB Foundation Level certification, \nstrong analytical and problem-solving skills,\nKnowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies,\nA creative and driven mindset and a detail-oriented approach with experience navigating through ambiguity and a desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment,\nA desire to learn and try new approaches/ ideas and stretch boundaries,\nSuperb communication skills,\nBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field of study,\nPerfect English skills; both written and oral,\nAccommodation in Istanbul.\nThe following qualifications are a strong plus.\nMobile test automation experience (Appium, iOS / Android),\nFamiliarity with Docker and containerized test environments,\nExperience with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6),\nISTQB Advanced Level or CT-AI certification.\nFor this position, we offer:\nCompetitive USD salary and stock options,\nGenerous vacation and PTO policies,\nFully remote work opportunities, \nTraining, mentorship, and coaching from leadership. \nPlease bear in mind that:\nThis is a permanent-term contractorjob opportunity with Medsien Inc. \nDue to in-person collaboration requirements, candidates based in Istanbul are preferred.\nAll interviews will be conducted in English and the candidates having less than advanced level of English will be directly eliminated from the process regardless of their technical skills and expertise.\nOur Process \nWe will review your application along with all the others we receive and pick the top profiles for a screening call.
