However, candidates interested in working full-time from the start may be considered, provided they are willing to take on additional responsibilities as an NEMT Driver to fulfill full-time hours. Specific schedules and working hours will be discussed during the hiring process.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMust have at least 5 years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)\nMust possess a current and valid EMT certification\nMust have a strong understanding of patient safety and emergency response protocols\nPrevious experience in coordination, team leadership, scheduling, or EMS operations is preferred\nMust have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment\nMust demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail\nAbility to work collaboratively with drivers, EMT personnel, dispatch, and management\nMust be proficient in basic computer applications, email, and electronic documentation\nMust be committed to following company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations\nABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY\nMedstar Transportation is an established Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provider, recognized as NEMT Provider of the Year for three consecutive years at the Community Transportation Summit in the Northwest.\nAs we expand our services into Emergency Medical Services (EMS), we are looking for an experienced and motivated EMS Coordinator who will play an important role in helping us build and establish this new program.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an EMT professional who wants to contribute beyond traditional field responsibilities and be directly involved in developing an EMS operation from the ground up. You will work closely with company leadership, including the CEO, to support program development, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist in establishing and developing Medstar Transportation's EMS program, including operational processes, procedures, and service standards.\nParticipate in planning meetings and discussions with the CEO and management team to provide input on EMS operations, program requirements, and implementation strategies.\nHelp identify and coordinate the necessary EMS licensing, certifications, approvals, and regulatory requirements to ensure the program meets applicable state and local standards.\nAssist in identifying staffing needs, evaluating EMT qualifications, and building a qualified and dependable EMS team.\nSupport the development and implementation of EMS-related policies, safety protocols, training requirements, and operational guidelines.\nHelp coordinate EMT credential verification, training, continuing education, and other requirements necessary to maintain operational readiness.\nAssist in identifying equipment, vehicle, staffing, and other operational requirements needed to establish and maintain EMS services.\nHelp establish processes for incident reporting, safety monitoring, documentation, and continuous quality improvement.\nCommunicate with management, healthcare partners, regulatory agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to support program development and compliance.\nIdentify opportunities to strengthen EMS operations, improve service quality, and support the long-term growth of the program.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nBE PART OF SOMETHING NEW!\nThis is more than a traditional EMS coordination role.
