A Day in the Life

This role supports Manufacturing Operations through process training, technical support, process monitoring, and continuous improvement activities. The team partners closely with production and engineering functions to enhance manufacturing performance, product quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include operator training and assessment, statistical process monitoring, process troubleshooting, and data-driven improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This position is based in Singapore and operates in an onsite work arrangement.

As an Engineering Technician III, you will provide technical support for manufacturing processes and operations, leveraging process data, training programs, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize performance.

The role requires independent judgment in solving technical issues, supporting process enhancements, and providing guidance to production personnel while ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct operator training and competency assessments to support manufacturing process adherence and workforce capability development.
  • Analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to identify process trends, variations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to engineering and production teams to improve cycle time, yield, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform process monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem investigation to support stable manufacturing operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report salvage, nonconformance, and process performance metrics using trend and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Maintain and support process designs, procedures, and controls in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Execute testing activities, interpret technical data, and prepare reports to support process improvement initiatives and minor projects.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical training to technicians and production personnel within the work area.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 6+ years OR Vocational/Technical Certification and 4+ years of manufacturing, engineering, or technical operations experience.
  • Experience conducting manufacturing process training and operator competency assessments.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing data, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics.
  • Experience supporting process troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and presenting process performance data.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects focused on yield, quality, throughput, or cost improvements.
