This role plays a key part in leading complex capital projects across facility infrastructure, manufacturing environments, laboratories, and workplace facilities, ensuring successful outcomes that support employees, customers, and patients around the world.\nCome for a job, stay for a career!\nA Day in The Life Of:\nResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:\nLead projects through the full project lifecycle including business case development, programming, site selection, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, occupancy, and project closeout.\n\nManage multiple capital projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.\n\nLead both remote and local project teams, driving alignment, accountability, and timely execution.\n\nDirect external design consultants, construction managers, contractors, and service providers to successfully deliver project objectives.\n\nDevelop business cases and manage capital project budgets, risk assessments, expenditure forecasts, and financial performance reporting.\n\nPartner with Facilities Operations, Real Estate, EHS, Quality, IT, Design, Security, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, and site leadership teams to ensure project success and regulatory compliance.\n\nEnsure alignment with corporate policies, commissioning requirements, qualification standards, and transition plans to Facility Operations.\n\nSupport procurement activities including contract development, vendor selection, commercial negotiations, and change management processes.\n\nFacilitate stakeholder discussions, resolve issues, drive decisions, and maintain clear project communications.\n\nConduct project site visits, contractor oversight activities, governance reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities as required.\n\nKey Skills & Experience\nDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, or a related discipline with 5 years of experience.\n\nExperience managing capital projects and programs involving facility infrastructure, engineering projects, manufacturing construction projects, laboratory projects, and/or corporate real estate and workplace projects.\n\nMastery-level knowledge of facilities and construction project management methodologies and practices.\n\nDemonstrated leadership skills with experience managing complex, cross-functional, and multi-team initiatives.\n\nStrong financial acumen with experience developing cost estimates, managing capital and expense budgets, forecasts, and project status reporting.\n\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence outcomes.\n\nExperience supporting procurement strategies, contract development, vendor selection, commercial negotiations, and change management activities.\n\nProven success leading remote teams while maintaining engagement, accountability, and project performance.\n\nAbility to facilitate effective discussions, ask probing questions, synthesize information, and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.\n\nAbility to travel up to 20% in support of project delivery, supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and site governance.\n\nPhysical ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and perform site walks that may require standing for extended periods\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nExperience leading facility infrastructure projects within the medical technology, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor industries.\n\nExperience coordinating projects in manufacturing environments while minimizing operational disruption and downtime.\n\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and building infrastructure systems supporting complex manufacturing operations.\n\nUnderstanding of clean dry air systems, bulk gases, purified water systems, wastewater treatment/neutralization, emergency power generation, and UPS systems.\n\nMedtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits Package\nPhysical Job Requirements\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.\nRecruitment Fraud Alert\nWe are aware of phishing scams targeting job seekers.
