A Day in the Life

El Lago Site

Contract: 12 months

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential production or material supply disruptions to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided on-time and at an optimal cost.
• Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, demand planning, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects - from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of production planning, MPS/MRP, capacity planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning.

Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.

Experience analyzing demand, inventory, backlog, material availability, production capacity, and customer requirements to develop and maintain executable production plans.

Demonstrated ability to identify material or capacity constraints, assess business impact, and drive recovery/action plans with cross-functional teams.

Experience coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Demand Planning, Warehouse/Logistics, and other Supply Chain functions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate priorities, risks, and recommendations to different organizational levels.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

English proficiency sufficient to communicate effectively in meetings, emails, and cross-functional discussions.

Nice to Have

Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing industry.

Experience with Blue Yonder (BY) or other advanced planning systems.

Experience with Power BI or other data visualization/analytics tools.

APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).

Experience with S&OP/SIOP processes, demand and supply balancing, and inventory optimization.

Experience managing production recovery plans, shortages, backlog, and capacity constraints.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Experience leading or participating in Kaizen, process improvement, or supply chain optimization projects.

Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior planners.

Experience working with global or cross-site teams.
