A Day in the Life
The Capital Funding function supports healthcare providers and public sector stakeholders in securing and implementing external funding to advance healthcare infrastructure, innovation, and patient care initiatives. Working at the intersection of healthcare, public policy, and financing, the team identifies funding opportunities across European, national, regional, and local programs and helps translate them into sustainable investment projects that improve healthcare delivery. Based in Prague, Czechia, this position collaborates closely with healthcare institutions, public authorities, funding organizations, and internal stakeholders to develop strategic funding solutions and support broader business objectives across the Czech market.This role is located in Prague, Czechia and operates in a hybrid work environment. Travel is expected approximately 50-70% of the time, primarily within the Czech Republic to engage with healthcare stakeholders, funding bodies, and project partners.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Identify and evaluate European, national, regional, and local funding opportunities aligned with healthcare investment priorities and organizational objectives.
- Analyze funding programs, eligibility criteria, regulatory requirements, and strategic frameworks to determine project feasibility and funding potential.
- Lead the preparation, review, and optimization of funding applications and supporting documentation to maximize funding success.
- Manage funded projects throughout the project lifecycle, including implementation oversight, monitoring, reporting, audit readiness, and compliance activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, public authorities, funding institutions, key opinion leaders, and public-private partners.
- Deliver training sessions, workshops, and advisory support related to funding programs, investment planning, and project execution.
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing, clinical, service, and regional teams to identify and advance strategic healthcare initiatives.
- Support the development of complex funding structures and multi-source financing models that enable sustainable healthcare investments.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, Master's degree and 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in healthcare funding, grant management, public financing, project management, healthcare consulting, or a related field.
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and managing European Union, national, regional, or public-sector funding programs.
- Experience leading funding applications, grant processes, or publicly funded projects from development through implementation and reporting.
- Fluency in Czech and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with public-sector and healthcare stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 70% within the assigned geography.
