This role is essential in supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced medical devices. You will be an integral member of the Affera Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field.In this role, you will contribute to the development and validation of innovative medical technology by designing and implementing robust automated testing solutions. You will collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and quality engineering teams to ensure software functionality meets product and regulatory requirements.\nYou will analyze workflows, identify potential quality risks, develop automated test strategies, and support continuous improvement of the software development and verification lifecycle.\nResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for complex software systems.\nDevelop automated tests to verify software requirements and ensure product reliability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including software, systems, hardware, and quality engineering.\nInvestigate and implement new automation tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency.\nAnalyze software workflows and identify areas for improved testing coverage.\nApply software development lifecycle processes and verification best practices.\nCreate and maintain detailed test protocols and documentation.\nExecute automated and manual tests to verify system functionality.\nDiagnose and debug software issues in collaboration with development teams.\nEnsure compliance with medical device regulatory standards and quality processes.\nMaintain multiple hardware and software test configurations.\nWork with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models. \nParticipate in innovation and continuous improvement initiatives related to testing and automation.\nRequired knowledge and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science software engineering or equivalent with 12 to 16 years of relevant experience. Bio-Medical expertise will be preferred.\nStrong programming experience in languages such as Python, C# or C++.\nExperience testing on Web / Desktop Applications.\nExperience designing and implementing test automation frameworks.\nExperience with software verification and validation processes.\nFamiliarity with software development lifecycle methodologies.\nExperience collaborating with cross functional engineering teams.\nExperience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.\nExperience with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes or function generators.\nExperience / Knowledge of HIL (Hardware in the Loop) framework.\nAbility to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.\nExperience using version control systems such as Git.\nFamiliarity with test management tools such as Polarion, TestRail, JAMA, or TFS.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent documentation and communication skills.\nQuality Management System - Test Planning, Strategy.\nAbility to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs. Nice to have:\nExperience with QT/QML.\nExperience working with Linux environments is preferred.\nExperience with UI automation tools such as Ranorex, Appium, Katalon, or Squish.\nExperience in medical device software development or regulated environments.\nKnowledge of medical device standards such as IEC 62304 and FDA software guidance.\nKnowledge on CI-CD Workflow. Docker.\nKnowledge of AI tool usage.
