By understanding these differences, we deliver solutions that empower surgeons and keep patients at the heart of every decision.\nWe are seeking an R&D Engineering Program Manager to serve as the execution and integration engine of a multidisciplinary R&D team supporting a strategic industrialization program for complex precision electromechanical systems. This hands on program leader will own selected engineering workstreams while maintaining the integrated view across team priorities, deliverables, dependencies, risks and decisions. The role will coordinate the progression from engineering-lab setup and pilot-line execution through Design Transfer, Manufacturing deployment and production ramp-up, turning ambiguous technical objectives into executable plans and driving commitments to closure.\nThe role will be based at the Mervue Campus in Galway, Ireland.\nCome for a job, stay for a career!\nOwn and drive selected engineering workstreams from definition through delivery, establishing clear scope, milestones, deliverables, ownership and dependencies.\nDrive day-to-day execution by following up on commitments, removing blockers and ensuring actions, decisions and escalations reach timely closure.\nMaintain the integrated execution picture across workstreams, including lab and pilot-line readiness, Manufacturing transfer, priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions and resource constraints.\nEstablish and lead effective operating rhythms, including workstream reviews, action tracking, decision forums and concise leadership updates.\nIdentify cross-workstream gaps, competing priorities and emerging execution risks early, and coordinate R&D, Quality, Operations and Manufacturing stakeholders to resolve them.\nPartner with the Technical Lead and functional owners to translate technical objectives into structured, sequenced and executable work packages.\nProvide clear, decision-oriented visibility of progress, transfer readiness, critical issues, commitments and areas requiring leadership intervention.\nBuild a culture of ownership, transparency and disciplined execution across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nKey Skills & Experience\nEngineering degree or comparable technical qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, with significant experience in engineering program management, R&D execution, product development, industrialization or complex technical project leadership.\nDemonstrated ability to independently lead complex engineering workstreams, create structure from ambiguity and drive multidisciplinary teams toward delivery.\nStrong capability in integrated planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk management, governance and escalation.\nTechnical understanding sufficient to recognize the execution implications of engineering decisions, risks and trade-offs.\nAbility to maintain detailed workstream control while preserving a clear team-level and program-level view.\nStrong communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management and decision-support skills.\nProactive, hands-on leadership style with a consistent record of driving commitments through closure.\nExperience with complex electromechanical products, precision manufacturing, automation, Design Transfer or manufacturing readiness is desirable; medical-device experience and formal program/project-management training are advantageous\nPhysical Job Requirements\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.\nRecruitment Fraud Alert\nWe are aware of phishing scams targeting job seekers.
