The CRM Software team works across application, network, mobile, BT/BLE communication, and embedded software that supports the management and control of implantable medical devices. We are seeking a proactive, self-starting Senior Software Test Automation Engineer who will serve as a critical automation expert, with deep hands-on experience in Appium-based mobile test automation, to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions for the next generation of CRM software.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:\n Appium automation expertise (mandatory): Provide hands-on technical leadership for designing, developing, reviewing, and maintaining robust mobile automation solutions for Android and iOS applications.\nAutomation framework ownership: Architect and enhance reusable, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks; establish coding standards, review automation code, and drive reliable execution across releases.\nTest design and development: Translate requirements and risk areas into effective automated test scenarios, reusable components, and maintainable regression suites.\nCI/CD integration: Integrate automated test execution, reporting, and quality gates into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines and support reliable, repeatable release validation.\nMentoring and coaching: Mentor engineers in Appium, automation design, coding practices, debugging, and test strategy; provide constructive reviews and coach the team to improve technical capability, quality ownership, and engineering discipline.\nAgile metrics and continuous improvement: Use sprint predictability, automation coverage, test pass rate, defect leakage, cycle time, escaped-defect trends, and related Agile engineering metrics to identify bottlenecks, communicate quality health, and drive measurable improvement without using metrics as individual performance measures.\nAI enablement and AI thinking: Identify and implement responsible AI-assisted opportunities across test design, automation development, failure triage, defect analysis, test-data generation, regression optimization, and reporting; evaluate outcomes critically for accuracy, traceability, security, and applicability within a regulated engineering environment.\nVersion Control: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git is essential for managing and collaborating on automation scripts.\nDatabases and SQL: Understanding databases and SQL is helpful for accessing and manipulating data during testing. \nDebugging and Troubleshooting: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills are necessary to identify and fix issues in automation scripts and test environments.\nPerformance, Security, and Regression Testing: Experience in these types of testing, particularly in an automated context, can be a significant advantage.\nAnalytical Thinking: The ability to analyze requirements, identify potential issues, and design effective test strategies is crucial.\nAttention to Detail: Thoroughness and attention to detail are essential for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of automation scripts and test results.\nProblem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and resolve issues in automation scripts, test environments, or software under test is vital.\nRequired Knowledge and Experience:\nBachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Sciences, Biotechnology, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute.\nPreferred: Maters in Engineering or master’s in technology computer sciences, Biotechnology, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute.\n8 - 12 years of Software industry experience.\nAdvanced, hands-on experience with Appium for mobile application test automation, including framework development, element identification, synchronization, debugging, execution, and reporting across Android and iOS.\n5+ years of experience designing and architecting software test automation frameworks, with demonstrated ownership of scalable solutions and automation strategy.\nStrong programming and automation-scripting fundamentals, including object-oriented design, reusable component development, debugging, and code reviews.\nC#/.NET experience is good to have; experience with Java or another relevant automation language is also valuable.\nDemonstrated experience developing and maintaining automated tests for mobile applications and validating integrations with embedded systems.\nStrong experience with mobile automation tools and ecosystems, with Appium as the primary required tool; exposure to Selenium, SeeTest, or equivalent tools is beneficial.\nFamiliarity and understanding of one or more of the following tools: Visual Studio, Automated test tool Microsoft Test Manager, Web based applications, Eclipse, Visual Source Safe, and Requisite Pro.\nStrong working knowledge of Android and iOS platforms, mobile application behavior, device/emulator management, and mobile test-environment troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with both Agile and Waterfall software development methods. \nDemonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers, conduct effective automation code and design reviews, share technical knowledge, and raise team capability.\nStrong understanding of Agile delivery and quality metrics, with the ability to interpret trends, connect measures to delivery and product risk, and use data to guide team-level continuous improvement.\nAI-first problem-solving mindset and practical understanding of how AI-assisted techniques can improve verification productivity and quality, including appropriate human oversight, validation of outputs, data protection, and responsible use.\nAbility to test, analyze, and solve technical problems.\nStrong written and verbal communication.\nDesign/test experience working with regulated medical devices, preferred.\nExperience working within a regulated environment is preferred.\nLocal language test experience is preferred.\nExperience with software version control tools is preferred.\nQuality focus, willingness to learn, versatility and adaptability.
