A Day in the Life

The Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) Operating Unit develops technologies that help clinicians monitor, diagnose, and manage patients across care settings. Within ACM, the Product DNA organization is responsible for advancing product lifecycle processes, data governance, and digital capabilities that support efficient product development, commercialization, and ongoing lifecycle management. The team partners across research and development, quality, regulatory, operations, information technology, and business functions to drive standardized processes, enterprise system adoption, and operational excellence.

This role may be based at the Medtronic campus in Lafayette, Colorado or the office in Mounds View, Minnesota. This is an onsite position that requires regular in-person collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and project teams.

Travel up to 25% is required to support program activities, stakeholder engagement, deployments, and collaboration across Medtronic locations.

As Senior Program Manager, Business Transformation, you will lead strategic transformation initiatives like the PTC Windchill integration that improve how product information, business processes, and enterprise technologies support the product lifecycle. This role operates at the intersection of business, technology, and operations, driving adoption of enterprise solutions, process improvements, and organizational readiness efforts that enable scalable and sustainable business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional transformation programs supporting product lifecycle management, digital enablement, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute program roadmaps, governance structures, resource plans, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, information technology teams, and external partners to deliver enterprise system implementations and process enhancements.
  • Drive business readiness activities including requirements validation, design reviews, testing, user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and post-deployment support.
  • Identify program risks, dependencies, and issues, and lead mitigation and resolution activities to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure program effectiveness and adoption.
  • Lead process standardization, workflow optimization, and data quality improvement efforts across functions and operating units.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across a global matrixed organization to support successful execution and sustained adoption of new capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related technical or business discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading large-scale business transformation, enterprise system implementation, or digital transformation programs.
  • Experience implementing or deploying Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms such as PTC Windchill or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Experience partnering across business and information technology organizations to gather requirements, implement solutions, and drive process improvements.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs through planning, execution, deployment, and adoption.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), or related enterprise platforms.
  • Experience deploying enterprise software solutions within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience managing global initiatives involving stakeholders and teams across multiple geographic regions.
  • Experience developing operational metrics, dashboards, governance processes, and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change management and enterprise-wide adoption initiatives.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$178,400.00 - $267,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
