A Day in the Life

As a Student Placement Intern within the Heart Failure Market Development team, you will support projects that help improve understanding of healthcare markets and patient pathways. Working closely with marketing, commercial and market development teams, you will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, market research and healthcare marketing activities. This internship will provide exposure to real business challenges while helping you develop analytical, communication and project coordination skills.

In addition, you will have opportunities to connect with colleagues across the organisation through 1:1 sessions with teams such as Finance, Sales, Health Economics and Consultancy, helping you explore different career paths and gain insight into a variety of functions.

Internship details:

• Start date: September 2027
• Location: the United Kingdom
• Duration: 10 months
• Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Work model: remote (with occasional on-site support across the UK)

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Support the collection, analysis and reporting of healthcare, market and sales data from internal and external sources.
• Assist in preparing and communicating market insights to marketing, sales and business teams.
• Help identify opportunities to improve data analysis and reporting processes.
• Support the coordination of internal and external events, including congresses, webinars and training activities.
• Assist in analysing healthcare delivery structures, provider organisations and patient pathways.
• Support the development of marketing materials, programmes and Social Value initiatives.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics or a related analytical field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and interpret data accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop in a healthcare and business environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK to support role-related activities, including congresses, customer events, and hospital visits.

Would be a Plus

• Knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and translating data into meaningful insights.
