Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.\nA Day in the Life\nAt our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic Athlone, we focus on NPI (new product introduction) and Product Transfers of Medical Devices into our Controlled Manufacturing Environment. Manufacturing & Quality Engineers, Project Managers & Technicians are directly involved new product introductions, product transfers and validating/continuously improving product lines by ensuring time-efficient and cost-effective processes while maintaining overall product quality and compliance.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.\nWorking with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and supporting Operations teams to contribute to the development and qualification of robust processes for new products.\nAids in design of packaging and labelling processes, procedures and packaging layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling and fabrication of tools.\nDesigns arrangement of packaging and labelling machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layouts.\nDesigns sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of packaging tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.\nInspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency. Support technical root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.\nEnsures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Contributes to New Product Introduction (NPI) function to define, execute and deliver on NPI requirements.\nLeads verification, validation, and implementation of package systems for both design and process development.\nDevelops technical documentation including design specs, input requirements, validations and technical reports in accordance with quality system requirements.\nUtilises project management skills to gain alignment, lead cross functional teams, and drive continuous improvement projects that focus on “best in class” outcomes.\nKey Skills & Experience\nLevel 6 or higher qualification in Engineering or Science related discipline , with 2 years of relevant experience\nExperienced in working with DFA (Design for Automation), Lean Sigma, Analytical packages incl. Minitab advantageous.\nExperience working with manufacturing documentation (MP, IP, BOM, CDP, IQ, OQ, PQ).\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nComputer literate; word processing, spreadsheets, Solid works, AutoCad.\nKnowledge of materials associated with medical devices such as polymers (nylons, PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, Pebax, PTFE, polycarbonate, films, Tyvek, etc.).\nA dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. An effective and creative problem solver\nCan work independently with general supervision.\nEnergetic, self-driven with a tenacious drive for results and motivated to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of projects in accordance with plant KPIs.
