A Day in the Life

This field-based position primarily supports customers within Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR), including Sahlgrenska University Hospital and affiliated regional hospitals, while contributing to activities across Sweden as needed. The role requires regular presence in operating rooms, frequent customer visits, and extensive travel within Sweden.

As a Technical Consultant, you will provide clinical and technical expertise to support the safe and effective use of Medtronic spine technologies. Working alongside surgeons, operating room teams, and commercial colleagues, you will support procedures, deliver product education, manage inventory programs, and help drive adoption of spinal therapies across assigned accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

· Provide in-theatre clinical and technical support during spine procedures to ensure the safe and effective use of Medtronic technologies.

· Deliver product training and procedural education to surgeons, nurses, operating room personnel, and other healthcare professionals.

· Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and in-service training programs to support clinical competency and therapy adoption.

· Build collaborative relationships with physicians, hospital stakeholders, procurement teams, and internal partners to enhance customer experience and procedural efficiency.

· Support key university hospitals and regional healthcare centres within Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR) and other territories across Sweden as required.

· Manage consignment and loaner inventories to ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, and operational effectiveness.

· Identify, document, and escalate customer feedback, complaints, product-related events, risks, and field actions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain current knowledge of spine products, clinical evidence, procedural techniques, and market developments while supporting internal training activities and product launches.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience from the medical device industry, clinical support, healthcare environment, or operating room setting.

· Experience providing support within an operating room environment and assisting clinical procedures.

· Fluency in Swedish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Sweden.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting spinal implant procedures or spine surgery programs.

· Nursing qualification, operating room nursing experience, or experience as a physician assistant.

· Experience delivering clinical education, product training, or technical workshops to healthcare professionals.

· Experience supporting enabling technologies used in spine procedures, including navigation, robotics, or imaging solutions.

· Knowledge of the Swedish spinal implant market and competitive landscape.
