This role supports the timely and accurate processing of multistate payroll and day-to-day benefits administration. Responsibilities include payroll data\nentry and processing, timekeeping, new hire and separation changes, compensation\nupdates, bonuses, deductions, benefit changes, reconciliations, and employee support.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on payroll experience in a high-volume environment, strong\nattention to detail, and experience using Paychex. This position requires someone who\ncan work independently, identify inconsistencies, meet payroll deadlines, and provide\nresponsive support to employees and managers.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nProcess bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls, including employee data changes, payable hours, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll transactions.\nComplete and maintain payroll data for new hires, separations, compensation changes, leaves of absence, retroactive payments, and other employee changes.\nReview employee timecards and assist with timekeeping corrections, approvals, and follow-up.\nAudit payroll data and reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing.\nIssue paychecks, manage direct deposits, and process payroll-related check requests.\nRespond to employee and manager questions regarding payroll, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.\nSupport day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit changes.\nAssist with benefit reconciliations, employee census reports, monthly benefit invoicing, and carrier updates.\nSupport COBRA administration and related communications and reporting.\nAssist with 401(k) deductions, reporting, reconciliations, and annual audit activities.\nSupport new hire benefits orientation and annual Open Enrollment.\nMaintain accurate payroll and benefits records and confidential employee information.\nStay current on applicable payroll practices, wage and hour requirements, and company policies.\nAssist with payroll and benefits reporting, audits, reconciliations, and ad hoc projects as needed.\n Minimum Requirements\n3+ years of payroll experience, including hands-on payroll processing.\nExperience using Paychex is strongly preferred.\nExperience processing payroll in a high-volume environment.\nExperience with multi-state payroll and related payroll compliance requirements.\nWorking knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, deductions, taxes, and employee data changes.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in payroll and employee data.\nStrong analytical and numerical skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.\nAbility to handle confidential employee information with discretion.\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience supporting employee benefits administration.\nExperience with benefit reconciliations, COBRA, 401(k), and Open Enrollment.\nExperience supporting payroll and benefits for a multi-state or multi-location organization.\n Disclaimer\nAll team members agree to consistently support compliance and TVG-Medulla, LLC policies and Standards of Excellence with regard to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, accreditation, and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Medulla procedures and protocols.
