You will have the opportunity to continuously expand your knowledge and skillset in anesthesia procedures and treatments.\nWhat you’ll do:\nAssist in patient procedures using knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.\nManage appointments, obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.,\nIntravenous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance\nThorough understanding of anesthetic considerations and how comorbidities affect case protocol and perioperative management\nMonitor anesthesia, trouble shoot anesthetic complications and make appropriate interventions\nContinuous expansion of knowledge and skillset; advanced anesthetic skills include arterial line placement, epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management.\nLean on thorough understanding of physiology and pharmacology to facilitate delivery of appropriate anesthetic care for high risk patients or procedures. \nDrive the MedVet Experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care\nInspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member\nEnsure documentation is accurate and complete\nWho you are:\nState Registered Veterinary Technician license required\nPrior veterinary experience required, previous anesthesia experience desired\nProficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)\nFlexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nPerks and Benefits include:\nComprehensive Health Benefits\nVision and Dental\nHSA, FSA and Independent Care Spending\n401k with Employer Match\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nShift Differentials and On-call Pay\nUniform Allowance\nEmployee Pet Discounts and Pet Insurance\nElective Short-Term Disability, Life and Accident Insurance and company paid Long Term Disability\nContinuing Education Opportunities and Assistance Program\nStrong career growth and personal development opportunities\nCome as you are.
