A typical day in your role would involve thinking about the long-term evolution of our systems, building in flexibility to support future use cases, and reviewing design documents from various engineers. You'll be debugging hard technical problems, making trade-offs on how to solve them for now, while incorporating and kicking off long-term solutions. You'll help unblock junior engineers, lead exploration of new technologies and work with other architects in the company to ensure across the board we're building top-notch tech. Overall, you will be a strong technologist at Meesho who cares about code modularity, scalability, and re-usability.\n\nThe core responsibilities for the job include the following:\n\nArchitectural Strategy and Hybrid Cloud Vision: \nHybrid Cloud and Infrastructure Evolution: Design and drive Meesho's hybrid cloud strategies, ensuring the underlying architecture is resilient, future-proof, and aligned with long-term business growth.\nHigh Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR): Architect robust, fault-tolerant systems and drive enterprise-wide solutions to drastically reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTTD (Mean Time to Detection).\nSystem Benchmarking: Ensure the infrastructure platform's scalability matches or exceeds the rapid growth and peak-load requirements of Meesho's core application teams.\n\nPlatform Engineering and Developer Productivity: \nNext-Gen IaC Frameworks: Design, review, and develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and comprehensive automated testing frameworks to standardise how systems are built.\nOperational Excellence: Build and review self-service tools and frameworks that empower developers to provision and manage infrastructure access controls independently, eliminating friction and operational silos.\nContainer / Serverless Onboarding: Architect and streamline the onboarding journey for service teams transitioning to high-scale containerised / serverless platforms.\n\nEnterprise Scale, Security and Observability: \nHyper-Scale Data Platforms: Design and oversee a centralised logging and metrics observability platform capable of processing millions of concurrent requests and petabyte-scale telemetry data.\nCloud Security and Governance: Define the blueprint for cloud security, secrets management, and automated key rotation frameworks to ensure zero-trust infrastructure security.\n\nTechnical Leadership and Talent Nurturing: \nGuardianship of Standards: Serve as the primary reviewer for critical infrastructure blueprints, ensuring code quality, security compliance, and architectural consistency.\nMentorship: Actively grow, mentor, and nurture young talent within the infrastructure engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.\n\nRequirements: \nBachelor's / Master's in Computer Science.\n10+ years of in-depth and hands-on professional experience in the DevOps / infrastructure / systems engineering domain.\nProficiency in strong systems, Linux, open source, infrastructure engineering, and DevOps fundamentals.\nProficiency on container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/GKE, etc.\nExceptional design and architectural skills.\nExperience in building large-scale distributed systems.\nExperience in scalable transactional systems (B2C).\nExpertise in Capacity Planning Design, cost and effort estimations and cost-optimisation.\nAbility to deliver the best operations tooling and practices, including CI/CD.\nIn-depth understanding of SDLC.\nAbility to write infrastructure as code for public or private clouds.\nAbility to implement modern cloud integration architecture.\nKnowledge of configuration and infra management (Chef/Puppet/Ansible and Terraform) or CI tools (any).\nKnowledge of scripting languages: Python, Shell, or Go (proficiency in any one).\nAbility to architect and implement end-to-end monitoring of solutions in the cloud.\nAbility to design for failover, high availability, MTTR, MTTD, RTO, RPO and so on.\nGood to have hands-on experience with data processing frameworks (e. g., Spark and Databricks).\nFamiliar with big data technologies.\nExperience with DataOps concepts and tools (e. g., Airflow and Zeplin).\nExpertise in Security Hardening of cloud infrastructure application/web server against known/unknown vulnerabilities.\nUnderstanding of compliance and security.\nAbility to assess business needs and requirements to ensure appropriate approaches.\nAbility to define and report on business and process metrics.\nAbility to balance governance, ownership and freedom against reliability.\nAbility to develop and motivate individual contributors on the
