The Law School is seeking a Student Accounts Representative to join its Finance Office. This position offers the opportunity to apply practical financial, analytical, and customer-service skills within a mission-driven academic environment.\nThe Student Accounts Representative is the primary point of contact for assisting students with their student accounts and supports day-to-day accounts receivable operations. The role focuses on accurate execution of billing, payments, refunds, reconciliations, compliance, and high-quality student service.\nReporting to the Student Accounts Manager, this position works closely with Finance, Registrar, Financial Aid, Admissions, Housing, Development, and other campus partners on transactions related to tuition, fees, financial aid, and other student receivables.\nResponsibilities include:\nProcess authorized student and third-party payments in accordance with established procedures.\nPrepare routine billing and invoicing for tuition, fees, housing, and other assigned charges.\nRespond to high-volume student inquiries via email, phone, and virtual or in-person channels in a professional and student-centered manner.\nPerform assigned daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and escalate discrepancies as appropriate.\nPrepare documentation to support bank deposits and reconciliations in coordination with Finance and Accounting.\nReview account activity and assist in preparation of routine student refunds in accordance with established policies.\nAssist students in understanding financial impact of registration changes.\nApply late fees and account adjustments per established policy.\nAssist with preparation and distribution of standard student account communications.\nSupport escheatment-related documentation for unclaimed refunds.\nMaintain electronic documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.\nIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nRequired:\nExperience in accounts receivable or customer-facing financial services; higher education experience preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.\nStrong accuracy in electronic data entry, reconciliation, and account analysis.\nKnowledge of school financial policies, banking practices, and applicable regulations.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a cycle-driven environment.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.\nCommitment to confidentiality and FERPA compliance.\nComfort working in a hybrid, technology-enabled environment.\nIntermediate Excel proficiency; strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook.\nPreferred:\nExperience with ERP or student information systems; Ellucian Colleague preferred.\nRemote capabilities:\nThis position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum in-office presence of four (4) days per week during the academic year when classes are in session and during exam periods.
