Interest in advanced networking is a bonus!\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nAs a Software Engineer at Megaport, you'll contribute to the evolution of our core business systems. Your responsibilities will include:\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless customer integration. Ensure API scalability, security, and adherence to best practices.\n\nProactively manage and reduce technical debt while optimising system architecture, ensuring stability and performance.\n\nActively participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.\n\nApplying and promoting best practices and design patterns within our engineering teams.\n\nDrive the complete lifecycle of small feature development, from initial concept and design through to implementation and successful delivery.\n\nParticipate actively in Megaport's agile development process and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n3+ years of software development experience in Java - OO design and associated design patterns.\n\nExperience in building services and tools in the context of web applications.\n\nAccomplished in problem solving and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong data modelling skills with experience working with relational databases using SQL, ideally Hibernate.\n\nDemonstrated collaboration and communication skills.\n\nAn ability to reason logically, question appropriately and present technical information clearly and concisely.\n\nBonus: Experience with network (IP routing, MPLS).\n\nBonus: Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP etc).\n\nBonus: Experience with Kotlin, JavaScript, Python.\n\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible working environment -
