This role requires safe handling and securement of loads while loading and unloading of equipment. Must remain positive, flexible, and professional and can work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals and ensure regulatory compliance.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nConduct pre-trip and post-trip on a daily basis.\nExperience working with flatbed, SD, RGN and dry van trailers.\nDrive safely and under DOT regulationstractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment to job sites.\nElectronic logging.\nRequires safe handling of loads, securing loads, tarping, tie-down, loading and unloading equipment.\nAdhere to safety requirements when hauling loads.\nBasic knowledge of industrial equipment and forklift operation.\nSignal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order toensure safetyof workers and materials.\nControl movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.\nOperating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles.\nAbility to work well in a team environment.\nA certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.\nDaily completion of required paperwork.\nComplete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily and/or when required.\nPerform other job responsibilities as assigned.\nTest rigging to ensure safety and reliability.\nAttach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.\nSelect gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.\nControl movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.\nTilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.\nInstall ground rigging for yarding lines, attaching chokers to logs and then to the lines.\nAlign, level, and anchor machinery.\nFabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.\nManipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets.\nAttach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.\nDismantle and store rigging equipment after use.\nControlling Machines and Processes - Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computer or vehicles).\nMinimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)\nHS diploma or equivalent.\nPossess valid Class A CDL with Airbrakes and combo endorsements.\nMinimum two (2) yearsproven driving experience at ACDL level.\nMinimum three (3) yearsproven experience or comparable field preferably within the construction service industry.\nBasic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.).\nExperienced knowledge of load securement and safe hauling practices.\nAbility to use precision measuring tools and equipment; hand, power and pneumatic tools.\nRigging experience is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions\nPerforming physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials up to 50 pounds.\nWhile performing the duties of this jobthe employee is regularly exposed to fumes, outside weather conditions and noise from machinery and within a maintenance shop.
