Dispatch/assign equipment (MEI and rentals) and tools to crew per job requirements including scheduling of equipment repairs. Completion of all paperwork related to equipment maintenance, issues and repairs including the ordering of permits.\n Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupervising all activities related to shipping and receiving, including but not limited to, receiving, inspecting, storing, packaging, and shipping of customer equipment. Making sure all inbound or outbound damages are properly documented and communicated.\nSchedule all incoming loads and give appropriate appointment times.\nMaintain accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents and making sure all inbound and outbound deliveries are logged into MEI portal correct, in full and in timely manner.\nLead and motivate assigned team of associates, providing guidance, training, and delegating tasks to ensure optimal daily performance and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees.\nMaintain the condition of the warehouse in a manner that is consistent with the company’s standards.\nDevelop and implement efficient yard layouts and processes to optimize storage space and shipping-receiving operations. Conduct regular inspections of yard, stored equipment and heavy lifting handling equipment to maintain operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.\nDrive performance and develop the warehouse team in a manner that is consistent with the Continuous Improvement process.\nInteract with customers, drivers, vendors, auditors, and visitors in a manner that is consistent with MEI’s mission and policy statements..\nMonthly reporting.\nOversee the process: Prepare, organize, and distribute all required paperwork to appropriate groups (crew, accounting, operations management) related to the job, change orders, assignment of crew and equipment, safety, JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and equipment repairs & inspections.\nMaintain issues and repairs of company owned equipment.\nReview, edit and adjust labor hours in electronic timekeeping system (ADP), preparing final review and approval by manager.\nUpdate dispatch job board daily by adding and cancelling pending and confirmed jobs.\nCommunicate daily with job foreman and drivers for efficiency of scheduling and dispatch.\nOther responsibilities as assigned by the manager.\n Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):\nHS diploma or GED equivalent.\nValid Driver’s License.\nMinimum 2 years’ warehouse supervisory experience.\nMinimum two (2) years proven dispatching experience or comparable logistics coordination experience.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience working in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook\n Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)\nIndustrial Machinery Equipment Operations experience.\nLogistics experience to interface with transportation companies.\nProfessional Skills:\nFamiliarity with OSHA DOT regulations.\nGood interpersonal communication skills\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nWill work in mostly outdoor environments with exposure to inclement weather and uneven terrain.\nThis is very physical, hands-on work. A Warehouse Supervisor must be able to perform General Physical Activities - activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling or moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work off the ground at varying heights and not be affected by moving machinery or parts. Work may vary between indoor, climate-controlled, or normal warehouse environment and non-temperature-controlled environment and/or outdoors in all types of weather, and over uneven ground or terrain.\n Additional Requirements:\nWork with a Top-of-Mind Awareness for the safety of yourself and everyone at the job site.
