They will establish, implement, and maintain the physical security program including security planning with a variety of different systems, as well as coordinating with specialists to determine appropriate systems.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nEstablish, implement, and maintain the physical security program that utilizes active and passive security measures and management protocol designed to prevent unauthorized access to personnel, equipment, material, and documents.\nImplement and manage physical security plans for secured, knowledge of the variety of different systems, tools and products that comprise a physical security solution, and experience in overseeing installation and testing of these physical security tools.\nCoordinate with design specialists, operations personnel, and other security specialists to determine the appropriate protection systems that provide maximum security while minimizing adverse impacts to the organization's mission.\nAssist in executing the SCI technical and physical security program in accordance with National, Intelligence Community (IC), DOE, and IN policies, directives, program guidance, and standards.\nServe as a subject matter expert providing advice, assistance and education to personnel on matters of technical and physical security policy, procedures, and regulations.\nConduct comprehensive technical and physical security program activities based on risk management principles to include surveys, audits, inspections, performance tests, and SCIF certification and accreditation requirements.\nReview construction plans for adherence to applicable directives to determine appropriate protection systems that provide maximum security.\nDevelop reports for each program activity conducted to identify threat, cost effective strategies, alternative risk mitigations, and corrective actions.\nReview and provide comments on proposed technical and physical security policies.\nCollaborate with DOE HQ and field technical and physical security personnel to ensure all security requirements are met.\nRepresent the Security Division, Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence at internal/external meetings, working groups, and interagency committees.\nDevelop and maintain a technical and physical security training and awareness program.\nResearch and analyze emerging security technology and requirements to identify implementation requirements, resource implications, and impact on existing security infrastructure and operations.\nComplete other technical and physical security program tasks as assigned.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nAssociates Degree\nExpert knowledge in security princles, concepts and methodologies\nAbility to perform independent work in:Physical SecurityIntrusion Detection Systems\nAutomated Access Control Systems\nClosed Circuit Television\nPhysical Security Construction (SCIF)\n\nTechnical SecurityTechnical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)\nTEMPEST\n\nActive TS or Q security clearance\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelors Degree in related field\nLOCATION: This is a full-time position in Washington, DC\nSALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
