This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, workflow automation, and enterprise integration. You will design agents that reason, act, and collaborate across business systems and make them accessible to end users through platforms like Slack\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nAgent Development & Architecture\n\nBuild AI Agents from scratch, including reasoning loops, memory management, tool calling, and state handling\nDesign and implement multi-agent systems with defined roles, handoffs, and coordination logic\nBuild agent orchestration layers to manage task delegation, agent communication, and failure recovery\nImplement planning and reflection patterns (ReAct, Plan-and-Execute, etc.) for autonomous task completion\nDesign agents capable of handling long-running, multi-step workflows with human-in-the-loop checkpoints\n\nMCP Integration\n\nBuild and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and clients from the ground up\nIntegrate MCP servers into agent runtimes to expose enterprise tools, APIs, and data sources as callable context\nDesign reusable MCP tooling layers that agents can dynamically discover and invoke\nEnsure secure, governed access when agents interact with internal systems via MCP \n\nTool & System Integration\n\nIntegrate agents with enterprise tools including Jira, Salesforce, Slack, Notion, GitHub, ServiceNow, and others\nBuild robust tool-calling interfaces, error handling, and retry logic for agent-tool interactions\nConnect agents to internal APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms via structured integration frameworks\nDevelop and maintain an internal tool registry accessible by agents at runtime\n\nAgentic Workflows & Automation\n\nDesign end-to-end agentic workflows that automate complex, multi-step business processes\nBuild automation pipelines that route tasks intelligently across agents, tools, and human reviewers\nImplement event-driven agent triggers integrated with enterprise systems and data streams\nOptimize workflows for reliability, observability, and cost efficiency\n\nSlack Platform & Agent Accessibility\n\nDeploy and expose AI agents as interactive Slack bots and workflow apps\nBuild Slack surfaces (slash commands, modals, home tabs, message actions) that connect users to agent capabilities\nImplement conversational agent interfaces in Slack with context retention across threads\nEnable agents to proactively surface insights, alerts, and task updates within Slack channels\n\nRAG, Data & Knowledge Systems\n\nImplement RAG architectures to ground agents in enterprise knowledge bases\nBuild vector pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval systems that agents query at runtime\nIntegrate Snowflake (Cortex, Snowpark) as a data backbone for agent memory and structured data access\n\nAI Security & Governance\n\nImplement prompt injection defenses, access controls, and data leakage prevention within agent pipelines\nDesign RBAC and audit logging for all agent actions and tool invocations\nEnsure agents operate within defined security and compliance boundaries\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\n5+ years of software or AI engineering experience\nProven experience building AI Agents from the ground up — not just configuring frameworks\nHands-on experience integrating MCP servers and clients into agent systems\nExperience designing and deploying agentic workflows and multi-step automations\nExperience building and deploying Slack bots or Slack-integrated AI applications\nStrong Python skills with experience in async, event-driven, and API-heavy architectures\nExperience with tool-calling patterns, function routing, and agent-tool error handling\nSolid understanding of LLM behavior, context windows, and prompt engineering\nExperience with RAG architectures and vector databases\n\nNice-to-Have\n\nExperience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel\nExperience with Snowflake Cortex or Snowpark for AI workloads\nFamiliarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source LLMs\nExperience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS)\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)\nExperience with AI observability, tracing, and evaluation
