processing and change-data-capture patterns\nOptimize Snowflake queries, warehouses, clustering strategies, and storage patterns\nMonitor and optimize Snowflake compute consumption and platform costs\nImplement secure data-sharing and access patterns\n\nData Pipeline Development\n\nBuild robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data\nDevelop batch, incremental, near-real-time, and event-driven ingestion pipelines\nIntegrate data from Salesforce, REST APIs, SaaS applications, AWS, databases, and file-based sources\nImplement reusable ingestion and transformation frameworks\nBuild pipelines capable of handling schema evolution, late-arriving data, retries, and replay\nDevelop reconciliation processes to ensure source-to-target completeness and accuracy\nBuild orchestration workflows with appropriate dependency and failure management\n\nData Modeling\n\nDesign scalable analytical and operational data models\nBuild dimensional models, fact and dimension tables, data marts, and curated datasets\nTranslate complex source-system structures into standardized enterprise data models\nEstablish consistent definitions for core business entities and metrics\nDesign data layers that support analytics, reporting, operational applications, and AI workloads\nBalance performance, usability, maintainability, and storage efficiency in data-model design\n\nSalesforce Data Integration\n\nBuild reliable pipelines ingesting Salesforce objects and related data into Snowflake\nWork with Salesforce APIs, Bulk API, Change Data Capture, and Platform Events where appropriate\nHandle Salesforce relationships, custom objects, schema changes, and large-volume datasets\nBuild incremental and CDC-based synchronization patterns\nImplement reconciliation and data-quality controls between Salesforce and Snowflake\n\nAWS Integration\n\nBuild data pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and related technologies\nDesign secure data movement between AWS and Snowflake\nBuild event-driven ingestion and processing workflows\nManage file-based ingestion, staging, and archival patterns\nImplement appropriate IAM, encryption, secrets management, and access controls\n\nData Quality & Observability\n\nImplement automated data-quality validation and testing\nBuild monitoring for pipeline freshness, completeness, accuracy, and failures\nImplement logging, metrics, alerts, and operational dashboards\nEstablish source-to-target reconciliation processes\nInvestigate and resolve production data incidents\nIdentify upstream and downstream impacts of data changes\n\nPerformance & Cost Optimization\n\nAnalyze query profiles and optimize expensive Snowflake workloads\nOptimize warehouse sizing, auto-suspend, auto-resume, and workload isolation\nImprove SQL performance and data-processing efficiency\nMonitor storage and compute consumption\nIdentify opportunities to reduce pipeline runtime and infrastructure cost\n\nEngineering Excellence\n\nWrite clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code\nParticipate in architecture and code reviews\nBuild automated testing into data pipelines\nMaintain technical documentation, data mappings, and runbooks\nContribute to CI/CD and automated deployment practices\nMentor other Data Engineers and help establish engineering standards\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\n5+ years of data engineering experience\n3+ years of strong hands-on Snowflake experience\nAdvanced SQL skills, including complex transformations and query optimization\nStrong Python skills for data processing, automation, and API integrations\nExperience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines\nExperience integrating Snowflake with AWS\nExperience ingesting data from Salesforce or similar enterprise SaaS platforms\nStrong understanding of dimensional modeling and modern data architecture\nExperience with incremental processing, CDC, and data reconciliation\nExperience implementing data-quality and monitoring frameworks\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices\n\nNice-to-Have\n\nExperience with Snowpark\nExperience with Snowflake Cortex\nExperience with Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe, and secure data sharing\nExperience with Salesforce Bulk API, CDC, and Platform Events\nExperience
