The selected candidate will work under the direction of experienced Stationary Engineers and maintenance personnel while gaining practical, hands-on experience in the operation, inspection, engineering, building operations, or facilities maintenance.\nHours: M-F 8am -5pm\nPay rate: $22 -30 (Semi-annual raises including)\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nThe Stationary Engineer Apprentice will assist with:\nMonitoring and operating building mechanical systems and equipment.\nAssisting with the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air-handling units, pumps, compressors, and generators.\nPerforming routine inspections and documenting equipment conditions.\nAssisting with preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities.\nResponding to building maintenance requests and assisting with troubleshooting equipment issues.\nChecking gauges, meters, controls, and other equipment indicators and reporting abnormal readings or conditions.\nAssisting with maintaining proper building temperatures and environmental conditions.\nPerforming basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks under supervision.\nMaintaining maintenance logs, inspection records, and work orders as required.\nKeeping mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and workspaces clean and organized.\nFollowing all applicable safety procedures and using tools and equipment appropriately.\nImmediately reporting equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to the supervisor.\nAssisting experienced engineers with repairs, adjustments, and other assigned engineering tasks.\nPerforming other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nInterest in stationary engineering, HVAC, mechanical systems, building operations, or facilities maintenance.\nWillingness to learn through hands-on training and instruction.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and building personnel.\nDependable, punctual, and willing to take direction.\nAbility to follow established safety procedures and workplace policies.\nTraining Opportunity:\nThe apprentice will receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced engineering personnel to develop knowledge and skills
