This role prioritizes operational tasks, exercises independent judgment in responding to site conditions, and coordinates team members to implement established custodial and park cleanliness standards.\nThis role reports to the Caretaking & Cleaning Supervisor.\nWork Location: On-site at Memorial Park \nSchedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday at 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM; occasional evenings and weekends required based on operational needs (seasonal adjustments may apply) \nEmployment Status: Full-Time \nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) \nBenefits: Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; short- and long-term disability; and 401(k) retirement plan. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits. \nKey Responsibilities\nCaretaking & Cleaning Operations\nImplement caretaking and cleaning maintenance practices including restroom and facility cleaning, waste and recycling collection, litter removal, trail and pathway upkeep, and maintenance of park amenities. \nInspect park facilities, restrooms, trails, and public-use areas to ensure safe, clean, and functional park environments. \nEvaluate site conditions and prioritize maintenance activities to support park cleanliness and visitor experience standards. \nCoordinate completion of routine cleaning schedules, inspections, and minor maintenance activities. \nEnsure accurate documentation of operational activities, inspections, and work orders using established tracking systems. \nAssist with monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and operational materials and communicate replenishment needs. \nTeam Leadership & Coordination\nLead and prioritize daily field activities within assigned areas. \nProvide on-site direction and technical guidance to Technicians, seasonal staff, and volunteers. \nSafely operate and provide training on assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles required to support field operations. \nCoordinate workflow to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. \nProvide field-level performance feedback and communicate performance observations or personnel concerns to the Supervisor for appropriate follow-up. \nCommunicate operational needs, emerging conditions, and performance observations. \nSafety & Operational Standards\nInteract with park visitors in a courteous and professional manner and model service standards. \nReinforce safe work practices and proper equipment use among team members. \nSupport compliance with safety policies and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). \nElevate safety concerns and operational risks to the Supervisor. \nLead volunteer activities and support special events as needed. \nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nThree (3) or more years of professional experience in park operations, custodial operations, facilities maintenance, or related field; leadership experience preferred. \nDemonstrated knowledge of custodial operations, public facility care, and park cleanliness standards. \nExperience safely operating operational tools, small equipment, and park vehicles. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office and digital work order or asset management systems. \nValid Texas driver’s license. \nPreferred Certifications\nN/A \nPhysical & Environmental Requirements\nAbility to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions. \nCapacity to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and stand for extended periods. \nLift and carry up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. \nSafely operate motorized vehicles and power equipment. \nWork safely in high-traffic public environments. \nPerform work at heights following required safety training. \nSafety Expectations\nAll employees share responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment.
