MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.\nEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS) Senior Specialist\nAt Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), our Environmental Health & Safety team plays a critical role in protecting employees, patients, visitors, and the environment. The EHS Senior Specialist will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety programs, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to advance a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.\nRole Overview\nLead and support occupational health and safety and environmental compliance programs across the organization.\n\nDesign, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and systems to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.\n\nConduct risk assessments, safety surveillance activities, workplace inspections, and compliance evaluations.\n\nPerform occupational, environmental, and safety audits and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.\n\nAnalyzeincident, exposure monitoring, and safety-related data toidentifytrends, develop reports, and inform decision-making.\n\nResearch and interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical operational processes and programs.\n\nDevelop and deliver training, awareness campaigns, and educational resources on occupational health, safety, and environmental topics.\n\nServe as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across departments, building partnerships to support enterprise-wide safety initiatives.\n\nSupport emergency response activities, hazardous waste management programs, and incident investigations as needed.\n\nKey Qualifications\nExperience in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Compliance, ora relateddiscipline.\n\nExperience designing, implementing, and managing occupational health and safety programs and systems.\n\nStrong understanding of occupational health and safety principles, environmental regulations, exposure monitoring, and risk management practices.\n\nPossession of one or more of the following certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).\n\nExperience in healthcare is notrequired; candidates from manufacturing, pharmaceutical, higher education,logistics, and other regulated industries are encouraged to apply.\n\nCore Skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and drive initiatives from concept through implementation.\n\nStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\n\nAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and safety-related data and communicate findings clearly.\n\nProficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other software tools used for reporting, training development, and program management\n\nHelpful Links:\nCompensation Philosophy\n\nBenefits\n\nPay Range: $92,700.00 - $148,400.00FSLA Status: ExemptClosing:\nAt MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.\nMSK is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
